The whole shopping experience in west elm Chatswood is just horrifying and annoying. Without a doubt, the stores furniture is good but the service from the staff is extremely unbearable and unacceptable. Served by “store manager”, the attitude from her is just unacceptable, bought an item from the store a week ago with 10% discount, a week later is 20% discounts (without any notices, and is an expensive item). Just trying luck to get some price deduction for another item that id love to get, her immediate reaction and facial expression changed instantaneously, I was so annoyed that I decided not to purchase the item. West elm, please be aware of your service staff, I’m sure that consumer behaviour on google reviews is reflecting the customer service you are having. More than willing to provide more details. Just to be more specific, the store manager starts from “A”

Furniture is nice and contemporary that's reasonably priced but If you're looking for a great customer service you won't find it here. Phone line takes about 30 minutes to an hour if you're lucky to get through to a call representative that often promises you one thing over the phone and never hears back from them ever again. I have a Benson desk that I purchased last year with the handles not opening and closely properly and still to this day I was promised a 35% partial refund and have not received any confirmation of sorts since. If you have a faulty product that needs to be exchanged or refunded - good luck because it will take over a month or two for them to even take a look into it. Purchased several items online and most items have been damaged and item incorrectly delivered upon arrival. The delivery men that was sent out by West Elm certainly does not care if your item is expensive or fragile, so don't be surprised when the final assembled product have chips and damages in them and have to go through another process of exchange. The whole company needs a restructure in their service - and soon.

Some of the rudest staff to come across! not to mention their inability to honour promotions run throughout the store. I absolutely love the product, but would appreciate less attitude when purchasing my products.

After seeing a "25% off - in stock items" sign in the window I selected a dining chair on the floor. I went home to see if it suited and braved the pre Christmas crowds to come back and purchase it. After 3 attempts I eventually found a staff member who wanted to serve me. She searched on the computer and said there were 2 chairs but she couldn't sell me one of those because she couldn't sell "off the Floor", only from what was in their storeroom and their storeroom was "tiny". Since when is an item that is in the shop not "in stock"? I have bought another chair the same from them previously "off the floor". This is crooked and deceptive!

shocking customer service, staff took wrong oder, delivered the wrong item, shop staff NOT ABLE to help, call center NEVER PICK UP THE PHONE！ZERO STAR.
