The food was great. The service however not so much. We were constantly ignored and had our orders forgotten by multiple times waitresses. The only shining light in that place was the young lady with glasses named Naomi. She constantly followed up our orders without us asking and apologised in advance. If it wasn’t for her I, we would never go back. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the staff could be the snobs. Nevertheless, great job to Naomi she should be proud of her service and should know the only reason we will come back is because she made our expertise amazing. Also it was Valentine’s Day.

Typical tourist eatery. Food and decor looks good but lacking in flavour. The steak was pretty bland tasting. Sushi was good but WAY overpriced for what you got. There are much better places to eat in Melbourne that are better priced for tastier food.

12/12/17. We dined on a late Tuesday afternoon to enjoy a delightful seafood platter for two. Explanation of the meal was vague from the door staff but the waiter was very knowledgeable and experienced. Large prawns were the main attraction with multiple small plates of various seafood delights. including oysters from different regions, calamari, salmon and others that tasted refreshing and tantalised the palate. Each was accompanied with finely sliced salad, pickle or spicy compliments to the dishes. Highly recommended.

UPMARKET RESTAURANT IN SOUTHBANK BUT LACKING SERVICE High end restaurant in the middle of the popular Southgate precinct. Three of us went recently on the Labour day public holiday. From the start we were underwhelmed by the wait staff who were not at all friendly or helpful. We started with a wine and a shared sushi sashimi platter plus tempura prawns. Both were delicious. We also received a complimentary taster of seafood bisque which was nice. For mains we had the 300g aged eye fillet, the baby barramundi and the seafood risotto. The steak and fish were both very well cooked and presented but the risotto was not hot (hardly even warm actually). I would have liked mustard with my steak but we weren't offered and I couldn't attract anyone's attention to get me some (even though I could see neat little trays of various mustards sitting on a shelf across the servery). The meal was quite filling so we declined to have dessert. We had to attract attention again to get the bill and then again later to get someone to collect it! I ended up wandering around the restaurant with the bill in my hand to get someone's attention :( Hopefully the service level was a reflection of the Labour Day Holiday but it did detract substantially from the occasion. We paid $440 all up (including the 10% public holiday surcharge). For people with mobility issues you wont have problems dining here. Noise level is quiet (although the restaurant wasn't full when we dined). Outdoor tables give you more room and a good view but you need to pick a warm night! Vegetarians best advised to go elsewhere (to be fair - it is a steak and seafood specialist!)

Very disappointed! Good looking bar/restaurant but very bad service. One waitress just chatting all the time to either customers/ staff with other customers waiting for her to finish her conversation. Was waiting for my dessert for more than 30mins. I’m pretty sure the staff forgot my order but when we asked one waiter was rude and another waitress gave a lame excuse. Lots of good places in Melbourne. Don’t go to this one!
