Before my review, my experience was during 2022 Valentine's special, which included a starter, a main dish and a dessert. The good: Staff - awesome, quite helpful. Food - it was amazing, great dishes and quite tasty. Presentation - dishes were quite elegant and beautifully presented. However, the tables had a plastic cover that did not help with the aesthetic of the restaurant. Price - I was surprised by how great the price was but this might have been due to the Valentine's special. The bad: No complaints whatsoever.
Vitalia’s Italian Restaurant is located on the Harbour promenade in Cairns. The view is quite lovely! The food is super authentic and very tasty, I would really recommend the Pizza That’s Amore II. The service is good, they even accommodated a side dish tomato salad that wasn’t on the menu, which we appreciated! However, the service could have been a little more attentive.
A relaxing restaurant right next to the marina. The food takes a little bit of time to get once ordered about 20 mins but it is well worth it as everything is made from scratch using only some of the finest ingredients. While you're waiting for the food don't forget to sample some of their Italian wines. The pizza is slightly toasted on the bottom crunchy around the edges the way an Italian Wood Fired Pizza should be. The linguine seafood pasta was cooked al dente.. but please call ahead for reservations as the place gets very packed in the evenings.
Lovely lunch with my husband for his birthday on the 6th December. We both got the lunchtime special and were pleasantly surprised just how amazing it was for the price. Lovely atmosphere and views, affordable prices and great staff. Highly recommended. We'll be back to try more dishes.Food: 5/5
The restaurant is really nice restaurant. The service is really friendly and fast. The also produce their own noodles and write in their menu that for the pizza they use special tomato sauce and special Italian cheese. The pizza was really good, but if you write that you use fresh tomato sauce and special cheese I also assume that the ingredients on the pizza are fresh. Unfortunately on my pizza there were mushrooms from the can and no fresh mushrooms. Too bad.
Very good restaurant! Only downsides: we had a booking and went to wait to be seated. Two staff members were chatting and one had our back to us. We had to let them know we were there by interupting their chat. We also had to wait a while to be served and for our plates to be cleared however the restaurant was full! So understandable. The food came out pretty quickly which was great. We didn't have to wait long. I ordered a ravioli which was AMAZING! So delicious! My partner got a mushroom pasta in white sauce which also delicious I had to keep stealing bites, but we were happy to share. We also shared a tiramisu which was delicious too. It was very busy, and people were getting turned away so obviously a very good restaurant. Make sure to book! My partner also had a limoncello cocktail which he enjoys a lot. Many vegetarian options, and some vegan options. The man who I spoke to when paying was extremely friendly and nice. He was super pleasant. All staff I spoke to were very polite and kind. Would highly recommend going here and booking ahead! Edit: came here for lunch a few days later 5th july tuesday and got a marg pizza. Was again impressed and the staff were incredibly friendly! Special thank you to the really friendly and kind staff working that day. Also the views are incredible while eating here!
Friendly staff, food got ready quick and was cooked al dente. We ate the vegan Fregola primavera and Umbria. Both were delicious and had the right amount of flavours put together.
We walked in impromptu just before dinner, a family of 7 returned from the cruise drenched in the rain so the review wasn't about the view, but we were appreciative to be treated well by the friendly and attentive staff. We've ordered Amore Bella and Fruitti De Mare - can't go wrong with pizzas as they all have yummy dough! For pastas, we've ordered Linguini Bianchi & Neri Allo Scoglio and finally the house specialty and very unique Fregola Bugs pasta - loved the texture! We left feeling lucky and happy we've visited this place, at the peak of dinner time when most of the reserved tables were filled where most dressed up for special occasions. Thank you.
Great location looking over the marina and undercover parking under the pier for 2 hours. Wide selection of Italian beers. Try the blondes. The home made pasta not as fresh as expected. Was still quite good but was not amazing. No pizzas at lunchtime. Also good selection of Italian wine. Steak good quality and plenty of greens and tomatoes with it.
I wish I had better things to say about this restaurant but unfortunately I don’t. We waited 45 mins for our food which ended up being very mediocre, bland and not memorable. We witnessed staff being yelled at on the floor for making mistakes, and we found the food to be very expensive for the quality that you get $40-50pp. When I voiced this experience on my Instagram, I received a very passive aggressive and condescending response from who I believe to be the manager, saying that my tastebuds need “a reset” and that I’m only used to eating food in my car. My brief review of my experience did not warrant such rude comments. I think a lesson needs to be learned about taking criticism and feedback from paying customers and using it to better your business, rather than being defensive and in denial. The treatment is disrespectful. I will not be recommending this venue to anyone I know.
