I visited there happy new year eve.nnIt was so crowded!nMy partner ordered pho and served in 4-5 min.nHowever, my stir fry noodle takes more than 25min…nI understand it was peak time but too much gap between two meals.nnFood always good and tasty.nCompered with another Vietnamese restaurant, a little bit sweet I feel.
First time in Perth and we were looking for authentic Vietnamese foods. And by “authentic” I mean something similar to those found in Vietnam. Unfortunately the beef pho and the stewed beef noodles mi bo kho had some unusual herbal taste while the “hu tieu thap cam” came with pho noodles instead. I guess the chef tried to add a hint of Chinese flavour to the soup. Some people may be ok with it but that’s definitely not a common way to cook Viet foods elsewhere.nnWe experienced authentically flavourful Vietnamese cuisine in Sydney so the bar was set high. But we left Viet Hoa with a bit of disappointment.
Used to be one of the icons in perth for cheap and satisfying food venue even though they didn’t have a concept of service. They just almost throw the dishes in front of you.nI haven’t been there for a long time and happened to be there today. I only found out their service is the same and the price has gone up quite a bit.nUnsure if it’s owned by Chinese, it’s irrelevant as food was good. However, I rather go to the duck place cross the road.
Great place for comfort Vietnamese food. They have all of the signature Viet dishes, both family sharing style or single portion options. I cannot say the quality is exceptional, but considering the price and variety of options, it’s a great place to go when you crave Viet food.nnI visited the restaurant during lunch time, so it’s quite busy and we had to wait for a while for the food, but it’s not a big deal at all.
So crowded in lunchtime, fast service, waiters are all Vietnamese. Big bowl of wonton and charsiu noodles soup with taste ok. Prices same as other restaurants
