We took our mother here for her 70th birthday. We love the ambiance and the friendly staff fussed over her and made us feel welcome. They put balloons on our table and allowed us to bring our own cake.  The meals were great. Dad loved his steak and wants to come back for HIS 70th. Thoroughly recommend.

It is a centrally located joint with ample parking and lots of pokies and food choices. There is really nothing distinctive about the place. The bar area appears dead on most days. Prices are reasonable.

The first time I went here with my father for lunch during the week it was amazing. Second time my brother, father and I all went to lunch on the weekend the food was bad and we had issues with our orders and were overcharged. The last time was tonight we decided to partake in "wok night", the first waitress had no idea how to order at the register, the second had no idea how to add the membership card so we were charged full price. Once we were seated only one order was correct. We were refunded the overcharged price ($9) after we complained to a waitress. And the food was horrible I ordered the teriyaki hokkien noodles with chicken (the chicken was incredibly dry and they gave me sweet chili soy sauce), my father ordered sweet chili soy with chicken and prawns and rice (the rice was mushy and horrible) and my brothers order (the order which was messed up repeatedly) was supposed to be sweet chili soy with chicken and rice ( first came out sweet and sour chicken and rice then came out honey soy chicken with rice and it too was mushy and over cooked).  Unfortunately while the staff were kind and helpful the food is not worth returning to varsity lakes tavern again and our membership card is being thrown out.

Popped in the other day when I was down that way. Great place for a good feed with friendly staff. Kayla was very helpful and accommodating. I will definitely be making a trip down there to visit the tavern again soon :)

Went here on Sunday, venue very busy and all staff were extremely friendly. The manager Caila was very cheerful and helpful. Will be back again
