Love the renovations since our last visit. The high roof reduces the noise when the place is crowded and the greenery and feature lights over the bar are gorgeous. Such a nice spot to look out onto the gorgeous beach through the large open windows. Four of us ordered different meals and we were all happy with them - all delicious and well presented.
A spacious surf club right on the beach. Uncomfortable plastic chairs which leave marks on your legs due to the pattern. Wear long trousers if you don't want the pimpled skin look when you leave. Order your meals at the kitchen area and drinks from the bar. Had the lemon myrtle barramundi. Portion of fish was tiny, 150g. Lemon myrtle taste barely discernible. The tiniest undressed portion of salad leaves. A handful of chips and a huge blob of Mayo. The salmon portion was better, but, overcooked and dry. The accompanying sauce, asparagus and kipfler potatoes were tasty. Friendly service. Maybe non fish fillet meals are better. The presentation was good, but, the taste and portion size is more important.
Great place for both small groups and large groups. Very huge area for dining. Great food and drinks selection. Just a great place to kick back and look at the beautiful beach
I had a fantastic experience at North Burleigh Surf Life Saving Club. The banquet food was genuinely impressive, beautifully presented, generous portions, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. What really stood out just as much was the service. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome from start to finish. It was clear they took pride in making the event run smoothly, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. I’d happily recommend the club for events or functions and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
We went to this restaurant for dinner and ordered some food.nnThe children’s cheese burger and sweet potato fries were delicious.nnThe rump steak, however, was a letdown. I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived medium well. The waitress offered to redo it, but I was too hungry to wait. It still wasn’t a good medium rare steak.nnThe chocolate fondant cake was good, but the raspberry gelato was a bit too sweet for my taste.nnThe beer battered snapper fillet was another disappointment. It wasn’t crunchy at all and tasted like it had been microwaved.nnThe atmosphere of the restaurant was great, with a nice view of the beach. I can see why it was so popular.nnThe service was above average, except for the fact that they forgot to bring our drinks.nnKids eat for free on Monday and Tuesday nights, which is a nice perk.
