Classic Australian beachside pub with wide verandas and an open feel inside. Located straight across from the beach at the northern end of Burleigh Heads, it’s a great spot to stop off for a thirst quencher when walking from Burleigh to Miami or vice versa. Had an early pint so can’t comment on the food but it is all clean and modern so I expect it’s great. Recommended.
It was a quick and easy process to book a table online. We did arrive early but Deacon came and saw us, explaining that our table wasn't quite ready but he will have it ready in a few minutes. There was a beautiful area we sat for such a short time before being escorted to our table. We had a wonderful view out on the deck, looking out to the park which also was ocean view as well. Deacon was great with getting our drink orders right, making sure all 10 that we had at our table we sorted. After reviewing the menu, we had no issues ordering after a short time food was served and we couldn't fault anything. Food was amazing, the Seafood tower was the highlight and was enjoyed. Ribs, Steak and chicken was ordered and served to perfection. Great portion size, with even our pickiest of eaters enjoying every bite.nThank you Deacon and your team for a great night out.
Not one to do reviews but felt I needed to. VERY disappointed with the Avocado salad with side of prawns $36. More of a side salad of spinach leaves, 4 slivers of thinly sliced avocado and 4 soggy prawn's and presentation appauling . Kid’s nuggets rock hard and not eaten and chips cold. Shame it’s my local won’t be going again or suggesting to others.nnUpdate: response disappointing for a salad I paid $36 for I could have bought an amazing seafood dish across the road and the surf club
Possibly the worst $26 burger I had in my life. I dont think a cheaper beef mince even exists, not to mention the bread or tasteless tomatoe. The view is good. And there is no service you litterally wait and order like at maccas. Typical Australian pub standard but expensive. The “waitresses” who dont wait on you but bring you your food are friendly and do smile hence the one star.
Tasteful food and amazing atmosphere. The place hace plenty of natural light.nMaybe it took a bit much to the order to arrive. But the kitchen was just open.
