My room had a bit of a musty smell to it, but within 5 minutes of being in the room I'd always not notice it. Bare bones staffing as you'd expect across Christmas, but those who were working were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Made use of many facilities and would definitely stay again.

This hotel is in a central location,with nice restaurant's around it,the room was good,but it is showing some wear and tear,not bad room.

Townsville Central Hotel is in a great location to a number of beautiful restaurants. The actual room was NOT great. The bathroom sink had a pubic hair in it and a few other little hairs. The toilet was so noisy that when I was trying to fall asleep you could still hear it going through the pipes and refilling for hours afterwards. I was there State of Origin night and working and the TV reception was so bad I watched the score update on my mobile phone. The light and power switches in the bathroom were filthy and so were the doors and door handles. Simple things cleaners should always clean. We asked if we could eat our lunch we bought within the dining area and were refused. Have asked our admin to remove this hotel off our very large companies book list. Will not stay here again.

Pretty good place to stay. Reasonably priced and clean rooms.
