Reviews

Rooms are large with good amenities 3/4 fridge, washing machine etc. The noise from other rooms is high, the doorway into the room is a doubke entry with a loud echo so you know when your neighbour comes and goes. Bathroom is ok size but tired with mold, cracking silicone, rubbers missing from toilet seat etc. View from balcony is excellent. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but reception closes at 2130. Parking is good. Location is great with easy walk to all the hospitality venues you can handle. Aircon works exceedingly well, was like a fridge when I arrived but easily changed. Overall, great place to stay with earplugs.

The Oaks Hotel was a really pleasant stay overall. My room was large and airy, with plenty of windows that let in lots of natural light, which made a big difference to the feel of the space. The view from the 10th floor out to Magnetic Island was a real highlight.nnThere were a couple of minor maintenance issues — the carpet was ripped in a few places — so a bit more attention there would lift the experience further. That aside, everything else was very comfortable.nnThe service was fantastic. The staff were genuinely attentive and couldn’t do enough to help, which always makes a stay more enjoyable. The hotel is also attached to the Met Hotel, which offers great food and drink options, adding to the convenience.nnOverall, a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely come back.

Nice location, easy walk to footy stadium, room had a bit of a smell. Half the bottles of amenities in shower and sink were empty. And are fixed to wall so can't shake any extra out. TV wouldn't work however we found a 2nd remote when we were leaving so , who knows!nnNice for a washer /dryer in room. Parking can be a bit squishy if you have a large vehicle.nnRooms starting to look a bit dated but were clean.nnShower took 4-5mins of running before the hot came through but, then was hot and had great pressure.

Room tired. We were put next to a noisy couple. Playing kpop very loud. Light of foyer leaked into room. Fridge buzzing all night. Room musky smell. Overbleached bathroom. Not worth what we paid. Would not recommend

Stayed for one night while visiting son in Townsville. Absolute AMAZING value for money compared to other accom. Lovely apartment, well appointed studio with kitchen and on-site parking.nIt's a little bit of a walk from central Townsville. Not too bad, but we had our car anyway. Definitely worth booking there if you have a car instead of paying heaps more to be in centre.nImmaculately clean, great reception and a lovely room.
