I returned the car with minor damage. In addition to the repair charge itself -- which was excessive, and Thrifty could have found a less expensive way to fix the damage -- Thrifty charged extremely excessive amounts for admin fees, assessment fees, and claim handling fees. Stay away from Thrifty -- I strongly advise you to not rent a vehicle from them!

Took a renta Fromm welshpool. Was told to take out the “ ultimate insurance” Paid $36 on top for 24 hours. Needed to make a claim And guess what terms and condition which they don’t make available rule out almost any type of occurrence. It’s a con don’t buy it!

I left a birthday card from my Grandma in the back of the hire car. The service center rang as I was boarding and offered to post it back to me. After a month of no mail, I called to follow up. Anne was able to locate it at the lost property department and posted it express post to me and was great with calling me back and providing updates!

Forced to get a transfer from domestic to international terminal, they didn't know why the office had been left unattended at domestic. Great fun at 2am with 2 young kids after a long flight.

They should be called Theif-ty as they are better in stealing people's money then renting out their cars!! I'm not a fan of bad reviews, but these people well deserve 1 star. I had the rear door window smashed during my rental (theft) only broken glass, no other visible damage and how much their independant assessor charged for it? $3100, yes more than three thousand dollars for a window that costs couple of hundreds. I asked for a detailed report (because of course they didn't care to send, they were only quick to deduct the money from my credit card) and it shows more than $800 paint and much more on irrelevant repairs. That is called theft.
