Diabolically bad service. Super slow. Can't find keys or the correct booked items. Confirmed vehicles not on site.nnAnd super load radio calls interrupting also most every sentence inside office when collecting keys.nnSimple job, huge lines waiting even if 'preferred customer' with Avis.
An absolute waste of time, the flight coming to perth was shorter than trying to rent a car here....absolutely pathetic, taking over 30min to process one person's information? Don't waste your life here waiting, rather take your money elsewhere.nnEdit to the Owner:nFor starters the images depicted of the vehicle I signed for was not the vehicle I received . How can the rental agreement be valid for a vehicle that I signed for was not the one provided?nnSecondly, I have never in my life been more disgusted with the wait time at Avis Perth and the level of incompetence I experienced today. I had to wait three hours in a queue to be served and then told, eventually the documents were processed, that the vehicle is not available? Albeit me pre-booking it for an allotted time?nnAt no point was anyone told what was going on, and to make matters worse a heated argument broke out within the office between the staff and between the customers. It is absolutely disgusting.nn6 persons left the line to rather catch an Uber or use one of your competitors. One patron could not get a vehicle rental resolved for over 45min?nnHow is it that I can rent with Avis with the greatest of ease all over the globe, from the USA, to Zimbabwe, but the branch here in Perth have zero idea what is going on?nnMy Company has been using Avis for years, but based on the experience today, I think that’s about to change.
Very long queue here when Avis shut down the office at the car park and also combine the service to Budget counter. Surely they have no consideration for how long their customers have to wait for just to pick up a pre booked rental car!
UPDATE:nI wanted to provide an updated rating after my last 1 Star review. The Manager quickly reached out after seeing my review and he apologised for the poor service. He then offered to upgrade my car. I was going to be near the airport so I stopped by to swap cars. He did offered to deliver the car to me but that wasn’t necessary. The customer service he provided was exceptional.nnOriginal Post:nAs a President’s Club member, I will say the The Perth airport location DOES NOT measure up to the other airport locations across Australia. I just picked up my rental and had to wait 30 mins in line since they had minimal staff working on Sunday arvo. Then I was told they had NO information about me but then stated they could see I was President’s Club???? While waiting in line I saw them grab the keys from my rental agreement and give it to another person who wasn’t President Club . By the time I got to the front, they gave me a Corolla Hatchback. Given the line was long, I wasn’t able to go back in and ask about an upgrade. I’m pretty sure my upgradednCar was given away.nnI may look elsewhere next time when booking a car in Perth. I’ve had great service at BNE, SYD, MEL and will definitely continue at book Avis as those locations.
I arrived at Virgin terminal and didn’t find AVIS counter only see Herz, etc.nthen I walked down with 2 x 23kg luggage to the T1 end and see AVIS counter closed.nThe message on the counter requests customer to walk across the big car park and find the office.nThen I walked with these 2 x 23kg luggage to the office.nUp to now it took me 20min.nThen I waited at the office for 40min for nothing.nnNo order, no customer care. People walked in and out.nnAnd seems one staff spent at least 30min for a old couple. The other staff was working on a claim for 30min.nnGenerally I spent 1 hour for nothing and missed my appointment.nnVery disappointing.nnOne of the staff said it’s normal when 4 flights come in together.nnI’d say AVIS should have more staff at the peak time if your know it is the case.nnDo not accept and excuse and apology.
