While travelling for a bike race from interstate, we arrived to find a miscommunication back in Adelaide and that the van we had booked wasn't going to be suitable! However the manager made some calls and got us into a suitable vehicle ASAP! Literally saved our race day and our pockets! Incredible customer service from the whole team. A1 experience!
[update] Many thanks to Emma, everything's sorted now. HORRIBLE service. I returned the car with a minor scratch, and the staff asked for a $1,150 deposit for repair, which is fine because I have my car insurance. But now it'd been 4 months and I had received no update at all I called them three times and they always let me wait for the updates. Can you tell me what kinds of minor scratches took you 4 months? Or are you just trying to keep my money and waste my time???
Waisted 45min trying the get the car then they charged me for an upgrade I didn’t get. when they first released the invoice I called said it wasn’t right with both the invoice number and the quote number charged me anyway have now told I will be updated in 24 hours 8 times so far all I keep getting told is the location won’t respond Terrible experience The car was also a pos kept randomly turning off maps and the whole stereo a few times Shame the one at t3/t4 are really good
Incompetent service. We returned the car at 1:30pm. Now we're being billed for an additional hour because their team claims we returned the car at 4:20pm - a time at which we were at the gate already.
Waited over an hour, with no where to sit, to get a car that we booked in advance. Only one guy working, who apologized for the wait. A bench would have been helpful. I was with an older lady who couldn't stand for that long, and had to walk back and forth to the terminal waiting for me. The car we rented is quite fine, but the wait was disappointing.
DO NOT USE! We hired a car for 5, days, turned up to collect and they tried to give us a huge van. The man would not accept that we hired a car trying to say we had done it wrong. Tried to say we would need tl pay a lot more for a car. Eventually agreed to give us the car for the agreed $800 when we showed him the confirmation email which stated toyota corolla or simillar. Since returning to the UK they have taken alot more money from our bank then we agreed. We will be reporting.
We were given a Kia carnival, not something I ever would have picked, but was extremely roomy and comfortable. Service was very good.
Terrible experience! Never again! Booked a small car. Cost $590 for 4 nights, seemed excessive but it was Easter. Called week before to add carseat as we decided to bring 2 year old. They said yes, quoted how much. After arriving in Perth we made the Trek to budget and waited in line over half hour. Finally got to front. They said no record of booking car seat and they didn't have a car with one. Lady was very rude and said nothing she can do, move aside so she could serve others. We tried other car rental places and no one had a car with seat. We called general manager budget she was able to look up we did call re car seat and asked us to take phone to desk so she could talk to staff We had to wait again in line. Rude lady said to my daughter "do you want me to help you or not!" General manager told them get us a car from another company with car seat so we then had to wait again. After ages we asked one of staff leaving where is the car, she said 'oh didn't they give you keys?' So she went n got them On returning car we filled it up at airport and dropped off. They sent me a receipt but the proceeded to take an extra $20 from my account. And held my bond for 5 days I have told them I have the proof I filled car but they don't give a damn. Seriously after all we went through. It makes me so mad they took even more money Also take pics of car. They gave me sheet, photos no scratches or damage and there was heaps so I sent them the photos Shonky company
Where do I begin….. Got online, booked a van and options for pick up location included Perth airport. I was going to be in the area so picked this and made booking. Put in for 2pm pick up, some 4hrs after time of booking. Location on web said in the virgin terminal. Having walked into the terminal I was greeted with a sign saying not attended and go to the car park area. Walked over there. On arrival, vehicle was not ready. It wasn’t at the location. It would seem these vehicles should not have been able to be collected from airport but internet system allowed me to do so. My real irritation came with the service person and the accusation that I had done this deliberately - “why did you want to pick up a truck from the airport?”. I informed them of the above, which gained the response of “that can’t be done”. I ignored this comment. They radioed for vehicle details which I overheard the comment “will be about 25-30 minutes to get it there”. They checked my booking details from email on my phone. A second service person came over also to review, and went to take my phone. I held onto it, and they tried to pull from my hand before saying “do you mind?”. I gave my phone. After they did some looking on the pc they told me it was a mine spec vehicle and it should never have been booked for airport pick up. I didn’t get the option to select mine spec or not - I wasn’t going to a mine so didn’t need this. They radioed once more to get details of a mine spec vehicle which would be delivered “about 20 minutes”. So, at this stage it was 2:40pm for a 2pm pick up with no vehicle. I said I wanted the check out time to be changed, because I shouldn’t have to pay for an hour of use that I didn’t get. The person said they couldn’t do that but could extend the check in time. I said that wasn’t an option for me as I have other arrangements, so they asked me what else I wanted instead to be given “what do you want then?”. I had no need for gps or anything else. I suggested unlimited kilometres. They told me that couldn’t be done on a mine spec vehicle and that they can’t override it. So I’ve paid full price for a vehicle despite not having the first hour, for a mine spec I didn’t select it didn’t mention on web booking, to pick up at a location that “shouldn’t have happened” and then made to feel like it was my fault. Faults with the web booking system - I can understand this being an irritant to workers having to deal with the issue - but I really don’t like the immediate prejudice that I’d wanted something not usual and unreasonable. In all honesty I don’t believe the person couldn’t change the cost or booking, but I’ll never know the truth on that. I can’t see me wanting to use budget again if I have an alternative option.
Extremely poor service on my return at the airport. The charges on my account were more than originally quoted. Although discrepancies could happen, Sheryl at the counter was in a hurry to serve the customers behind me as she was at the end of her shift. The only response - I'll speak to my manager and give you a call ... Still waiting for the call, though.! A bit frustrating, as I've gotta sort this over email.. PS: Updating the review a week later. Got a callback from a service personnel & my issue was resolved. Upgrading from 1 to 3 stars based on my problem getting solved eventually
