not a trustworthy car dealer, be sure to write down everything when negotiating with this guy, coz he promised to provide 1 year warranty on the vehicle, but i end up having only 3 months warranty... hope my comment helps

Bought a car off Scott on the 13/08/2017 and gee did he make some brilliant excuses for not transferring the vehicle. One being that he had to 'close the shop for 2 hours to go to vicroads' and that 'it takes too long'. 2 months later after making contact with the ACCC he finally transferred the car. The car also did not run the same as when test driven, he again made lots of excuses for this, and again a month and half later i finally got it repaired. one of his excuses was 'i was in tasmania on the weekend'? Be very careful of this guy, he fits the 'used sales car dealership' to a T.

"There is no substitute for Customer Service. Mr. Stephens has made a customer for life.' At first, I was hesitant to deal with a used car salesman as opposed to dealing with the general public via Gumtree. However, my reservations were quickly overcome due to Mr. Stephens' honesty, generosity, product knowledge and overall humanity. Not only am I thrilled with my purchase, I have found someone who, under no contractual obligation to do so, has continued servicing my car and helping me understand how to best maintain my asset. Just one highlight of the many interactions I have had with Mr. Stepehens- I purchased a vehicle which was hardly used but in fantastic condition. In fact, he alerted me to the car even before it came to the lot (he could have easily sold me the same model with more kilometers) but choose to make the same deal with a superior product (a loss to his inventory). The car, while in fantastic condition, needed a new battery as it was an older model. I called Mr. Stephens 1 month after purchasing the car to discuss the battery. He personally came to where I was parked, changed the battery and checked to make sure the old battery was the only issue. HE DID ALL THIS FOR FREE. He could have easily referred to the contract which stipulated the car was purchased "As Is." However, he went the extra mile to ensure that his customer was taken care of. In closing, Mr. Stephens is a knowledgeable mechanic, a trustworthy businessman and an even better person. When purchasing such an important asset, purchase it from someone who has the information and wants to truly help you. Don't leave it to chance as the "Consumer To Consumer Market" online is too much of a gamble. There is a reason why we entrust professionals with providing specialized knowledge and service.
