We had a wonderful night at The Strand Motel Apartments in New Plymouth. Our apartment looked even better in real life than it did in the photos. We even got fresh milk when we checked in! The apartment was very nicely equipped, with a large refrigerator, a modern kitchen, a very nice bathroom, and comfortable armchairs. The bed even had an electric blanket. If we ever come back to New Plymouth, we will definitely book The Strand Motel Apartments again.
We stayed in the one bedroom unit. Lovely decor and very clean, they obviously take pride in looking after their guests. Crisp white sheets which is always nice. It had a private, furnished patio as well. Room rate was excellent meaning we could stay for 3 nights. Parking directly at the door. Thanks for a great trip New Plymouth.
We booked this last minute and were thrilled with the layout, perfect for 3 adults, our 3 year old granddaughter and baby grandson.nCleanliness couldn’t be faulted and everything we needed was there. Even the lighting was user friendly, which is unusual for a motel. Thanks The Strand! We will book again.
We stayed at The Strand Motel and found it comfortable and accommodating.nWe did have an issue with ants in our room which is why haven’t been able to give full stars.nThe response from the owner when made her aware of the ants was disheartening.nOverall though, great place to stay.
Great property with parking. A bit out from the city centre but it's a quick ride with Uber.nWould be great if the door where keyless, and have card, fobs, pin codes instead of the classic key.nPersonal preference I would have loved to have a fake grass in the outdoor area rather than just concrete.
