Reception staff were so welcoming and helpful. Facilities great. Some are a little dated but very clean, great water pressure in showers. Awesome proximity to beach, Fitzroy pools and cycle tracks.

We stay at Fitzroy every year and we love it, the location in particular. We take bikes and cycle to WOMAD along the beautiful seaside promenade. However this year our booked site was given to someone else, and we were disappointed to see that the archaic cooking facilities for campers are still in place. The bathroom needs hooks on the wall and a bench so you don't have to put your towel on the floor. The kitchen could use extra power boards for phone charging - standard in overseas facilities.

Location right on an amazing beach for surfing and swimming is tops. We had self contained cabins. Basic but everything worked. Would have liked a bit more space in the cabins. Manager was very nice.

It is what it is - a good traditional holiday park right by the beach. But it is well maintained with clean good facilities. Stayed in a cabin which, although smallish, had everything you could want. And the bed was good. The location is brilliant. Nice beach, black sand, and two surf life saving clubs. Many pohutukawa trees on the camp site. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here every year for the last 10 years, at least. This year has been an awful disappointment. Not only have the owners been dismissive of our request to be near an ablution block (medical reasons) but we have a young baby and we're given a horribly exposed site, even when we were told it wasn't. What has changed guys? Don't you value loyal customers?
