Hotel was clean, well appointed and offered all we needed for our recent stay. It was an easy walk to the city center but bikes were also on offer if we wanted. Room was quiet and good blackout curtains allowed for a nice sleep in. Good water pressure in shower always a plus.
I ordered the grilled cauliflower and was surprised to find it very soft and lacking the expected grilled texture. I even asked the staff, and they confirmed it was boiled first, then grilled—which really defeats the purpose of a grilled dish. For $32, it didn’t feel worth it, especially with such minimal seasoning just salt, no other flavor.nnDessert and room is good
What a fantastic visit - NP Novotel never fails to disappoint! I arrived late due to delays from Melbourne, but the team sorted out my pickup from the airport and even made sure I could get a meal though the restaurant was closed. Really felt like they bent over backwards to make sure I was looked after.nLiterally my favourite hotel in the chain... even though its my home town!nKa rawe!
We were very impressed with our recent stay at Novotel New Plymouth. In particular we found the staff to all be very friendly, competent and efficient. The restaurant was fantastic- we had dinner and breakfast there- and again, the service staff were exceptional.nOur room was spacious and well-appointed. We found it easy to bike from the hotel to the Coastal Walkway and it was central to everything we wanted to see and do.nWell done Novotel New Plymouth! We look forward to staying again.
We had a great experience overall! The staff were very friendly, and the parking felt safe and convenient. Breakfast was good, but not exceptional. The only disappointment was being charged extra for an omelet, even though Sunnyside and scrambled eggs were included. It didn’t quite make sense.
