Where to start...good and bad.nRenovated rooms are nice, bed was really comfy, fresh milk.nnPool area, its the little things - lots of unsupervised kids in pool, i understand the usual, but it got very noisy and loud even with the windows closed.nnThe outdoor area lacked any staff attention, leaves in the pool, dishes sat out all day. The spa was half empty the entire time we were there and in the morning the furniture was still scattered around. There were never towels for the pool in the gym cupboard as mentioned in the room so you had to go to reception in your togs. Clearly no one had come out to set it up for the day, It wouldnt take much to have staff come out every few hours to check the facilities, top up the spa and clean the area.nOutdoor furniture needs a revamp, with missing cushions, no loungers and a lack of placement.nnBreakfast hot dishes were really good, compliments to the chef, continental was canned fruit, a sad fruit bowl and a few cereals, some fresh cut fruit and pastries would go a long way. The dining room is very dark, needs brighter decor.nnI have stayed many places in NP and I dont think I will return. It could be so much better.
Checkin was very easy and the staff were all very helpful. Cathy behind the desk went above and beyond to help both at checkin and when I reserved months beforehand and had to change dates due to road closures to the area.nnRooms are fantastic, modern and well presented. Did not use the facilities but from what I was, they were all tidy and clean.nnWill definitely use Plymouth International the next Golf trip to the region.
Very clean. I believe I stayed in a recently renovated room, but the whole hotel appeared in good order to me when I was there, so I'm not sure how much difference this made.nThe breakfast was good, but not anything nearly better than a good 3 or 4 star hotel; it was fresh and tasty, but not a huge variety, e.g. no pastries for the Continental breakfast.nBeds were comfy, there were decent in room facilities and a nice TV, and the bathroom was well laid out, if a bit small. Amenities were decent and towels were soft and fluffy. All fixtures were solidly fitted.nThe hotel has a decent gym, nice wanted pool and spa pool this was the only thing I noticed that needed a bit of maintenance.nMostly, the staff were very friendly, helpful, informative of things to do in the area and available.nThe location was great for my partner and I. We enjoy walking and the town centre was less than a 15 min brisk walk away, Fitzroy Beach about 10 mins and there were plenty of places to eat within just a couple of blocks, including the hotel restaurant.nI would happily stay here again.
I had sorted this accommodation with Marie and she was so helpful made this process so easy. We had 6 rooms which were perfect connected to each other and they were close to the pool. Plenty of room in each room and nice and clean.nI personally have never stayed at a Hotel where ALL staff were so friendly and helpful, also had a laugh with you. The Orangery Restaurant had delicious food and service was awesome. This hotel is a walking distance to town, supermarket etc. We will definitely be back.nThank you Plymouth International for having us Staff from Wanganui Well Drillers
A delightful hotel with the quaint charm of maintaining the older version of itself in a clean and functioning way. The customer service was wonderful when we hit a snag with a billing error / misinformation about the breakfast. We didn't get what we wanted exactly, which was a full refund but we got enough sure enough attention and an easy to talk to real person who really attended to the matter. The continental breakfast with fresh, local fruit is such a wonderful addition and a major quality difference from the cookie cutter stylings of many North American hotels.
