Excellent food, view and service. Best meal in Australia we have had. It’s just so much better than anything in Tasmania or Hobart too. Absolutely recommend. Worth every penny.

A better seating arrangement is desperately needed. The average spending amount is $100 without the promise of a seat!? Why serve food to customers if you have no where to put them? So we stood there awkwardly with our glasses of wine and plates of food , waiting for people to finish eating whilst our own food was going cold. I believe this COULD have been a great experience. BUT it wasn't sadly.

Situated within the MONA grounds, this restaurant have an amazing view overlooking Tasmania and the river. A lot was put into the decor of this restaurant, each table have it's own decorations under the table glass. On the outside you have what they called live tables which have green plant on it! Foodwise I have to say they're really good except for the seafood hotpot. The dish was really bland. I would highly recommend the roasted eggplant, it has a mix of flavours that makes it so interesting! Food - 8 Service - 10 Vibe - 10 Price - $$$

For the famished museum-goer or the enthusiastic foodie, The Source at MONA is worth searching out. It's nondescript upstairs location on the grounds makes it easy to miss for the casual observer, but provides a fantastic view of the grounds and the bay it overlooks. Well designed menu--dishes pictured (and recommended) are the olives, scallops, wallaby, asparagus souffle, and black trevally pesto rissotto. Don't forget to order the chocolate truffles for dessert.
