We are a family run restaurant and we have been operating in the midst of Hobart's beautiful waterfront since 1979 offering the diner a truly unique experience and very fresh and tasty Tassie seafood and meals. The restaurant is world renowned, features in many global travel guides and is always popular!

Excellent seafood here. Often can get fish caught the same day. Great atmosphere too. Would recommend for any occasion. Staff are friendly and welcoming. The platter for two on the mains menu is fantastic, with fresh octopus in a awesome marinade. Local oysters and huge fresh prawns, salmon, scallops and fish. The mixed seafood grill option is excellent, as is the chowder, which is freshly made. Would recommend booking in advance.

Great atmosphere and settings. It is wonderful that they make a small place into such a nice restaurant. We ordered a big platter for $140 and some wine. Food was plenty but not really met our expectation. Prawns were so so. Fried and hot stuff were only a little bit better than $20-ish fish and chip places. Wine was great tho. Overall the experience was not too bad but way overprice.

the staffs were friendly except they kept asking you to order (i know there was very busy which i understood) but the food was really just average... the chips were cold.... but the restaurant itself was really amazing, interesting. so you pretty much paid for the atmosphere but dont expect too much for the food.

They arranged all the Asian customers to the same corner ,I don’t know if it was on purpose or just a coincidence, but it was weird and uncomfortable as if we shouldn’t be fit in. Food was good but so much overpriced and overrated. Definitely not coming back again. The waiter who served us was nice and helpful, but when my friend tried to signal them to get service again we got ignored , they turned a blind eye to us as if we didn’t exist .

We enjoyed our meal service was good and the food was great. I do agree with the comments on the chips and the salad they definitely need changing. This is a seafood restaurant not a local fish shop you get what you pay for.
