My laksa didn’t even come after multiple requests, food isn’t even that great, you can find better restaurants around, tourist trap!!! Also staff is a bit slow and not very helpful.. useless

Mures 'family restaurant' is now just an overpriced tourist trap with all the warmth of a corporate business. The quality of the food is poor and the decor very dated (unless you like to be taken back to 1987). Considering that Hobart is now one of the best food destinations in the world, this dated establishment in a convenient location needs to pick up its game.

The quality of the food left me and my companions speechless. I don’t normally rave about good food online but I had to make an exception. It was consistently outstanding cuisine worth every cent. We had the eye fillets prepared 2 ways (medium well and blue) both cooked to perfection. I was using a butter knife for the blue steak which was so tender it was effortless to glide through it. The broccoli and beans to accompany our steaks were impressively fresh and retained their organic flavors. The jus did not overpower the steaks at all. We also ordered a dozen mixed oysters that had unrivaled freshness...they literally tasted like they came straight out of the sea. The Thai version had a great balance of reminiscent flavors that transported you. My partner ordered the seafood platter for one and could not fault any of the individual tastes. It really felt that there was a Michelin chef moonlighting in the kitchen dazzling patrons with mind blowing cuisine. Dessert (coffee brûlée, poached pear, lemon & mixed berries mousse) totally exceeded expectations. We ate a great deal of food but came away feeling so pleasant that lunch became the main event of the day. Thank you to all the staff at Mures who have made this an unforgettable dining experience. We will be sure to recommend to our friends and family in Sydney who may wish to frequent Hobart.

Very common food. Over advertised. Ready to rip off every tourist. Ordered dishes from lunch special menu by pointing at the page for lunch specials, but still got charged at normal rate. The excuse they gave me is just they though we wanted the normal ones. Try to avoid it if you are a tourist, or just enjoy your special Hobart experience at the Manures upper deck.

In today’s foodie world you don’t expect average especially from a restaurant claiming great family history. I was put off by the par cooked off the shelf rolls. I stayed and gave the benefit of the doubt after the head wait staff gave me every assurance the chef was very good. I can’t describe the fish as anything other than limp. The prawns were fresh. Everything else was lifeless and so tasteless. We gave it our best. It felt ill. Granted the bill was waived but I couldn’t be paid to go back. The family have lost the plot and employ people that should never run a restaurant. What was amazing was that they stood by the quality of their food. Only for the ignorant with too much money. I’ve enjoyed eating Macdonald’s more than this overpriced diner mascarading as a dining experience.
