Franklin Bar & Restaurant

Some of the best food I've eaten in my 30 years in Hobart has been at Franklin. I've been back twice and I'll be back a third time. The atmosphere is awesome too. As is the theme of the bar and the feel. One of my favorite places.

Such fantastic food. Service was great too. Stand out dish was definitely the octopus. Best we've ever eaten. Pork neck and lamb both were great too. You must try the potato dessert too but a special mention must go to the plum clafoutis.

Great staff who really know how to make a drink. Ask for the vegan dessert, even if you're not vegan. You won't be disappointed.

I had a fantastic dinner experience here about a month ago. I went with the "feed me" option - you'll get about nine or ten dishes in total (including desserts). Great food and awesome service. The industrial decor looks great too. I would definitely come back for more. Highly recommended.

An exceptional experience. The space is industrial-chic meets upscale residence. The menu is heavily based around the huge woodfire oven. Lamb ribs with a crispy fat to die for, a baked bread with lamb mine, yoghurt and mint, and a stunning burnt meringue with sheep's milk sorbet were the standout dishes. Friendly and chatty (yet totally professional) staff completed a wonderful evening.
