Easy to get to by tram from near Southern Cross station. Lots of stores and eateries, although a number of shops were closed, even though it was a normal week day. We went there specifically to see the Banksy exhibition, which definitely didn't disappoint. We also watched a movie at Hoyts, which was a spotlessly clean, modern cinema with reclining leather seats.
The Docklans are beautiful and clean. So much infrastructure but not many people
The District Docklands is literally a ghost town. Most of the shops and spaces for shops are abandoned, have curtains and coverings over the windows and are extremely dirty. The only bustling spot was the main middle part with Uniqlo and H&M.nnThe centre is both a mix of indoor and outdoors, so going in winter is actually the worst. No heating at all except for in the actual shops. Some of the shops don’t even have music in them, it is very eerie and unwelcoming. There was a bookstore which was opened, yet on the front display window it looked like it hadn’t been tended to in years since the book covers had literally FADED from constant light.nnThe restaurant area was okay. KFC, Subway, Spud Bar and other fast food restaurants were open but not many local restaurants at all.nnThe only reason we came here was to see the amazing Banksy installation. We’re happy we came here to know we will not be coming back.
Great place to visit, all indoors also has glow in the dark golf, 18 holes, underground parking, other variety of shops and takeaway and restaurant options.nToilet facilities also.nHighly recommend for a great day out!
Definitely the best place for ice skating. Love from TGG, Malaysia
