The Railway Club Hotel

Excellent place with fantastic food. Very wide selection food menu and wide selection of wines on offer. I'm from Sydney and there is nothing close to the quality of this place. Service was beyond reproach. 5.5 out of 5.

I don’t often give 5 stars to a restaurant but this place deserves it. I had a porterhouse 300g with fries and a garden salad. The porterhouse was very good meat and cooked medium-rare to the spot. The fries and the garden sales both were awesome and the wine was great too. I just was a bit disappointed that there was local Melbourne wine by the glass, so I had one from Barossa Valley. The price of AUD 59 I found reasonable for such a place and the staff was very friendly. Good for singles, couples or small groups.

We have been there a few times before and everything was good. This time my son in laws and daughters meals came out. twice they received the wrong dressing . Son in law had the taste of anchovies all night which made his steak not taste good at all . I received my meal and the food was cold they took it back and it tasted as though it had been heated in the microwave . When you are paying $50 for a steak each I think it's got to be a lot better . When we got the bill they tried to charge us for the drinks on the table next to us as well as our own .we don't go out that often but when we do we like to enjoy ourselves .

Nice venue tucked away at the end of Raglan street in Port Melbourne. TAB at one end and surprisingly well-presented bistro/restaurant at the other. I enjoyed the calamari while the range and quality of the steaks impressed the rest of my table.

One of the best steaks in Melbourne! Great service, awesome wine list to match the steaks and a solid selection of beers. The entrees are great too.
