Make yourself at home in this magnificent heritage building. The beers are cold, the smoker is firing and you're always welcome.

The front bar and lounge area downstairs feature 15 taps of craft beer plus cocktails, wine and champagne.

Upstairs remains a stunning function space; perfectly suited for birthdays and engagement parties.

Just had lunch at this new venue. Bring out the man! Okay, the refined man. 400g of smoked, slow cooked short rib that I did not want to share... at all. One of their many craft beers : a great local twist on a Gallic red. How hard is that to find! And, yes, the girls at the table could indulge in some soft, floral ales. But the real surprise: I asked for a sparkling espresso. I got the expected vague look, but when asked to describe it I received "I can do that". 'Oh, sure', I thought. But he could, and so well. I am going to have to carve my initials at my table so it will be ready for me at my next visit.... real soon. Oh yeah, really well designed interior, too. But with food and beer that good, do I really care!

Great BBQ and they have some good craft beers too. Wish this place opened earlier because I'm moving back to the states soon. Really the best American BBQ in melbourne I've had the 3 years I've been here

Great beer selection on tap, good service, and a good menu make The Hack an easy to recommend place, especially if you're in to American style barbeque.
