Great place. Impeccable service (even though we looked shabby and had two small children in our party). The food was great too. The honey bug tails and the mussels were amazing, definitely try these if they're available.

I have been coming to Rubiras for years . Probably once a year over 10 years the service is amazing and last visit over 12 months ago I had the Flounder it was in the top 3 meals I’ve ever eaten . However today I was there with my 2 daughters as I was with them on our last visit and we were a little bit disappointed in the food . The calamari was average the flat head was Devine but had bones in it and don’t order the Duck it was brown way overcooked and chewy and the orange wasn’t ripe it actually spoiled the dish . Still the service was great my bill was $163 and I gave them $200 cash but next time I take my daughters out for lunch we are going to reconsider our options. A great let down seeing I travelled all the way down from the Macedon Ranges to not have the experience that we expected. In all fairness we never booked we got there at 1335 pm they were very busy but went out of their way to accommodate us though.

Amazing food we regularly come here unfortunately some Of the staff let this place down without having any knowledge of the menu and sometimes forget we are there .. please give me chili prawn sauce recipe !!

Fabulous as always! Barra Spring Rolls; king prawn and onion spring rolls - sensational; followed by the lingune seafood - amazing with the Rubiras Heathcote Shiraz. Top stuff!
