Absolutely fantastic camping and pool experience. Definitely one of the easiest and most convenient campsites I have stayed on anywhere in the world. Staff are super accomodating. Campsites are generally quite generous, able to handle more than one large tent. the Camp Kitchen is superbly equipped with urns, fridges, freezers, barbecues, chilled filtered water, even sets of knives and forks and plates should you have forgotten yours. The unisex bathrooms are beautifully finished and very well set up for privacy. The pools are a delight, my kids managed to run up and down the stairs for the slides for 11 straight hours...

Taupo DeBretts is an excellent resort catering to all levels of affordability. Due to it being the beginning of the off season I was allowed to have my dog there. We stayed in campsite 59 which had a great view of the Lake however this site was next to the highway and very noisy. Facilities are modern and kept very clean. Discount to the hot pools was welcome and you can get a pass out for the day. Would be good to have a second seat a third of the way up the hill for coming back from the pools. This resort has everything available for families through to solo travellers and would highly recommend booking a stay. Take a look at what is on offer.

With 3 pools (1 large), 2 quick slides and 1 not so fast (warm water though) and a kids water play area this was a grand way to chill out after a long drive. We stayed in the smallest of cabins (one room) and for one night it was fine. Check before you book how many rooms you actually get :)

We went in nearing 8.30pm as they close at 9.30pm. Please note there is a hill you have to walk down so if you have issues with walking down hills or bad knees etc perhaps ring ahead so you can get permission to drive down. They have plastic containers you can put your things in however I would not bring valuables as it can get really packed with the crowds. Also note the pools are all so very close together. There are spa's where anyone can jump in however these are not majorly huge so be prepared to get up close and personal with whoever is in your Spa. There are private spas but these get drained at 8.30pm. Once you are done you have a beautiful nature walk up the hill lit up with coloured lights in some places.

A very organized, well maintained camp offering privacy on many of the camping sites. Great amenities that are clean and attractive. Proximity to the hot pool is a real plus. It's a camp we have used regularly as it's always a good experience
