An older motel but fabulous location on the lake and walking distance to eateries and shops at . We had an upstairs room with lake views. Rooms are a little dated but very spacious with separate dining and kitchen areas. Spacious bedroom with very comfy super king bed. Fabulous welcoming proprietor and she was always smiling. The use of the thermal spas was wonderful. So lovely to go for a soak, especially at night as the pool area is all lit up with fairy lights and tree lights. You can relax and look at the stars. Rooms were very clean and well equipped kitchen if you wanted to prepare own meals.
Didn’t stay but went to hot pools. 4 of us and we loved the thermal pools. Lots of options in terms of heat, change rooms lovely, plunge pool. Fully recovered after the run race. Great service- thank you - we will be back
This hotel is a far better accommodation than a three-star hotel rating would suggest. It has its own thermal spa facility with multiple pools and seating area, spotlessly clean, and free to those staying at the hotel - which cost far less than what we spent on ordinary meals for three days and nights in Taupo. The rooms are simple but perfectly fine, and even have a private hot tub option. The proprietress was wonderful, very caring and helpful.
Lovely motel that very clean with great facilities. The staff are really great.nThere's a kitchen with good cooking facilities and seperate dinning room along with outdoor seating area and amazing views of the lake. Beds are very comfortable. Bathroom is really nice with plenty of hot water and towels. The in room thermal spa is wonderful. We really enjoyed our stay and will return when next in the area.
4 adults only thermal pools that can be used during your stay or pay for entry if staying elsewhere. There is also a child plunge in addition to the 4 temperatures. Pools have shade over a portion of each pool and there are lounges in sun and shade. The room we had had it's own private tub on a enclosed back patio. The bed was very comfy and the kitchenette well equipped. The room also has a front patio with table & chairs & some have partial lake views. No view from rooms 5-8. We found the motel to be quiet and very well maintained. Would highly recommend.
