Went to target today to change a pair of black pants for another suitable one with no receipt just wanted an exchange. The store would not allow me to because I couldn't find the receipt. I had my licence to show my details as I was genuine. The female young manager would not let me. I did go back check your system I got it at front register and that store yet said couldn't find it. Yet I bought it there. She simply wouldn't help. Huy target never again. Your rude and your treatment was poor. Best 30 dollars spent. I won't spend one more dollar ever in your stores again.
Good selection of stock and clean store. Some self serve machines would be great as an option when there's only 1 person serving at the register.
Drove over 50 minutes to pick up an item as they only had stock of them. After driving back home I realised 2 of my items were left at the target there. I called them to confirm they were at the counter - yes they were -. After calling customer service they cannot give me a refund, store credit, deliver or transfer it to my local store and was told I have to drive back out there to collect it. Considering I paid for something I didn’t receive, there should be some sort of remedy in place, especially at this time of year. Absolute horrid customer service.
I used to like Target as the merchandise, especially clothing, seems to be a better quality than Kmart and they had a customer focussed policy.nnAs others have mentioned, Target Mt Ommaney is looking a bit sparse these days. Still, I have tried to patronize when I can.nnThe other day I found a $100 gift card that had not been used. Lost in the debris of a separation 5 years ago and just found now. That old chestnut where businesses take money for a gift card and impose a time limit for the recipient of the gift to use it. Two years in this case. Sorry, time's up…our money now. Just easy profit or robbery? Certainly unethical.nnI noted the small print on the card and asked the service desk if anything could be done. Passed up the chain. Next person said ‘no’ but at my insistence would go ask the manager. She disappeared for while and came back and asked if I had the receipt.nn‘No, it was a gift’…complete with writing in the backing cardboard.nn‘Then without a receipt there is nothing we can do’.nnKnowing that the ATO requires businesses to keep 5 years of records and ASIC requires 7 years, AND this is an electronic storage item so likely the info is stored in an online archive I asked, ‘Couldn't you have someone look it up? It is unreasonable to expect the gift giver to provide the receipt to the gift recipient‘.nn‘No, we wouldn't have it’. And that was the end of any hope I had of help. Just simply, no more help.nnA vague recollection of places like Target having a spotlight shone on the unethical nature of these expiry practices prompted me to ask if Target still has expiry periods on gift cards. ‘Oh yes, it's now 4 years’. Well good to see that Target grew a little conscience but didn't quite reach the level of being ethical. I'm pretty sure that ethical organisations got rid of this poor practice. It's not your money - you provided nothing for it.nnSorry Target, lost a fan and disappointed in both the level of assistance and outcome.nnI'm sure more could have been done to validate the unused card in this case if the requirement for a receipt was the impediment as stated.
Visit today at Mount Ommaney Target I noticed there were very few people in the store. The security person at the door was counting numbers as people entered. The other significant thing was that the store stock was very low. I think perhaps this store will close down.nThe usual 'Target quality' goods featured.. just lot less of them! It will be disappointing if this shop does close.nI purchased 3 garments and there was quite a wait- people queuing- as only one register was open. The staff moved to open two more as there was a long line of people waiting to pay.nnOne staff member was wearing a mask, the others weren't.nAnother customer commented to me how shocked she was at how little product was in the store .n...it's also been extremely noticeable for a couple of months at Kmart in Mount Ommaney.
