Great location. Quiet neighborhood. Walking distance to Salamanca market and the CBD.  Plenty of food outlets within walking distance also.nnChecking in was fast. The unit we got was big enough for the four of us. It consists of two bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor and the kitchen, dining and living area on the lower floor.nnAmenities were complete. The kitchen had everything needed to make a complete meal. Bath toiletries are also available. Hot shower with strong pressure also.nnAircondition/heater was working fine.nBed were a little too soft for my liking but it served its purposennParking is plenty but it tends to get full especially at night.nnOverall a great value. It was a wonderful 4 day stay at St. Ives. Would definitely recommend this place....

Wonderfully appointed hotel close walk through beautiful Battery Point historic streets to Salamanca markets. Rooms are spacious, clean and quiet and beds are to die for they are so comfy. Reasonable room pricing. Highly recommend.

We booked four rooms for a special family event weekend.  From the very start the crew went out of their way to make sure the visitors were well looked after and all of our foibles were addressed.  Guests commented on the cleanliness and completeness of all facilities, the cooking facilities allowed maximum convenience and the room sizes were so much better than many other establishments.  All requests were handled with aplomb and the ready-access parking was a godsend for older guests.  All of the guests independently remarked that St Ives is their first choice for their next visit to Hobart.

Rooms were clean, tidy, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The bed was comfy, heating was solid, and it's within walking distance to the CBD. Free parking was a bonus too.nnOnly downside was the internet - it was super slow when it did work, which made getting business done tricky. I also couldn't keep the Chromecast running for more than a few minutes at a time. Hopefully that was just a one-off.nnOther than that, it was a great stay and I'll definitely be back for my next work trip.

I would recommend this place to anyone whos going to visit Hobart! Great location and amenities, room was clean. I was really impressed with the kitchen - it has anything we need utensils, cookware, plates, even salt and pepper. I really had a really pleasant time there! We can add an extra bed for another $40/night. The room didnot look like as old as i thought.
