I wish I could give zero stars. Our stay at the Mayfair Plaza Motel was an absolute nightmare, and I strongly advise anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.nThe rooms are not soundproof in the slightest, and the motel’s atrium design turns the entire property into an echo chamber. Every footstep, conversation, or door slam reverberates directly into your room as if you’re sleeping in the hallway. We heard every single person passing by—no exaggeration.nA group of guests was loudly hanging out in the atrium, drinking, laughing and shouting. When we politely asked them to keep it down, they ignored us completely. Just as we thought it was over, the same girl came back at 2am and started raging outside again. The noise was unbearable. Eventually, police were called—that should tell you everything.nWe got zero sleep. The motel clearly has no noise management, no security presence, and a layout that guarantees disturbance.nNot worth a single cent. Save yourself the misery—stay anywhere else in Hobart.nThis is def not a 4 star motel
A wonderful two night stay at Mayfair with my daughter. Light/ bright rooms. Everything we needed was available kitchen equipment, extra warm blankets so close to everything. Coles across the rd. We had Thai food, Japanese food for our for dinners. Management were friendly on arrival. Ramps throughout the complex, so accessible for all.nWould definitely recommend.
For the price, I guess the hotel was not bad. But the doors were incredibly thin and even had a small gap under it, resulting in us hearing everything from outside. It really affected our sleep unfortunately. A hotel should make sure their guests sleep fine, that is the main reason for customers to book a hotel. The rooms should be sound-proofed.
Stayed at the Mayfair for four nights, surprised how big, clean and equipped the suite room second level was for the price. It has everything you need, the service at checkin in was fantastic, friendly lady, even recommended a couple of tours. Left my personal keys in the suite when I checked out, the team there noticed before I did, they reached out and express post my keys back to me. Fully recommend the Mayfair.
Cozy place with great service and a separate menu with vegan options. I loved the attention to detail and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back!
