Took my son to the Emergency Department and the lovely young girl at the reception said it was fine to pay when picking him up. When I went to collect him, he was sitting in the waiting area. I stopped to see how he was, when the older lady with the grey hair in a braid at the reception, started yelling at me across the room to come and pay the account. I told her I was there to pay the account but she was very rude and abrupt. Definitely not someone to display an overall welcoming ambiance of the hospital...
My cousin just had hip replacement surgery. He couldn't get a shower in 3 days as no help was available. There was no access to ice packs or waterproof dressings despite being promised for several days. Nursecall response was only about nurse response time not nurse patient care. Access to assistance in the early hours post operative was hell, no one was available, he was scared and traumatised. He was in huge pain, 13 out of 10 and 45 mins later before a panadol was provided. Worse patient care ever. The hospital needs to wake up and look at their lack of care!

Severe Medical Negligence Resulting in Life-Threatening Experience!nI am writing this review to express my disappointment and concern regarding the severe medical negligence I experienced during my recent appendicitis case at St Andrews Private Hospital Ipswich. The delay in not only preforming the necessary operation not only jeopardised my health but also resulted in me being required to be admitted to another hospital for treatment.nThe delay in scheduling the appendectomy was unacceptable. Despite experiencing severe abdominal pain and displaying classic symptoms of appendicitis, the medical staff at St Andrews Hospital failed to prioritise my case. The delay allowed my condition to worsen, leading to complications and allowing for my appendix to rupture.nThe lack of communication and co-ordination among the medical team was evident. It is deeply concerning that both the Theatre and Ward Nursing Unit managers admitted to fault in this delay. Such admissions by the Nursing Unit Managers indicate a clear failure in the hospital's protocols and procedures, ultimately compromising my safety and wellbeing.nThe lack of accountability and transparency was disheartening. There was a clear failure to acknowledge and take responsibility for the grave errors in my case. This lack of ownership further eroded my trust in St Andrews and its ability to provide adequate and safe care.nThe medical negligence I experienced during my stay at St Andrew's Ipswich was nothing short of a life-threatening ordeal. The delay in preforming the necessary operation, the admissions of fault from the Nursing Unit Managers and the subsequent infection that required treatment at another hospital highlight the grave consequences of Negligence.nI hope this review is a wakeup call for St Andrews to address these issues urgently and prioritise patient safety.
Shout out to all the staff in ED yesterday. From admin, triage and all the nurses. Even the parking guy was lovely when I was clearly feeling overwhelmed. Absolutely brilliant. Special mention to Dr Ghodosi - it was tough having to take my 2 YO in there, but you made it all ok. I knew we were in good hands.
