I cannot recommend this gastroenterology team highly enough, Dr Lei Lin and Dr Myat Myat Khaing. They are not only incredibly knowledgeable and professional, but also some of the kindest doctors I have ever met. I honestly don’t know where I’d be without this team, they’ve made a life changing difference.nnWhat stands out most is how invested they are in my care. They always make me feel like I matter, and that my health and wellbeing is personally important to them. They consistently go above and beyond what is expected. Having them both as specialists who provide reassurance, care and are available has made an enormous difference to my quality of life.nnMost importantly, they make me feel comfortable and safe, whether it is explaining test results in detail, answering every single question with patience, or being available when I need reassurance. They are extremely transparent and thorough, and they make sure you fully understand what’s happening and what the next steps are. I always leave appointments feeling more confident and at ease.nnI am incredibly grateful for the care I receive. If you are looking for doctors who are compassionate, attentive, highly skilled, and truly go the extra mile for their patients, I cannot recommend them enough. They genuinely care, and it shows in everything they do. They are not only outstanding professionals but truly remarkable human beings. Thank you, Dr. Myat and Dr Lei for all you do.
This review is not directed at the hospital staff, but rather at the condition and maintenance of the hospital’s amenities and facilities. Having been a patient at this hospital on several occasions, I am extremely concerned by the unacceptable condition of some of the rooms and bathrooms.nnThere is visible mould growing on the air-conditioning vents, as well as large areas of mould present throughout the bathroom tiles. The toilet seats are old, worn, and significantly damaged. In addition, the bathroom sinks emit a very unpleasant odour due to what appears to be blocked drains, causing water to pool and remain at the top of the sink rather than draining properly. These conditions are not only unhygienic but also raise serious concerns regarding infection control and basic facility maintenance.nnFollowing my most recent spine surgery, I was provided with a shower stool. To our absolute shock, the stool was severely rusted, structurally unstable, and in the process of collapsing. It had been held together using an old hospital band, clearly indicating that the equipment was extremely outdated and had remained in use for an extended period of time. Equipment in this condition presents a serious safety risk to patients, particularly those recovering from surgery who rely on such supports for stability and safety.nnIf cleaning and maintenance procedures were being carried out thoroughly, the condition of this stool should have been immediately identified and the equipment removed and replaced. The fact that it remained in circulation raises significant concerns about routine inspections and equipment management.nnConsidering the extremely high costs patients are required to pay for treatment and accommodation at this hospital, and the substantial revenue generated by the facility, it is entirely unacceptable for patients to be exposed to such unhygienic conditions and unsafe equipment. Patients should reasonably expect clean, well-maintained facilities and safe equipment as a basic standard of care.
I recently spent three nights in hospital after making the decision to proceed with a Laparoscopic Sleeve Gastrectomy, and I can confidently say that my experience exceeded all expectations.nnFrom the very beginning, the level of care and professionalism shown by the administrative staff, nurses, transport staff, phlebotomists, doctors, and surgeons was exceptional. I was admitted on Friday, 23 January 2026, and from the moment I entered the hospital it was clear that patient experience is a genuine priority.nnHospitals can often be overwhelming environments to navigate, however before I even reached the reception desk to ask where admissions was located, a staff member proactively approached me and offered assistance. She personally walked us to the appropriate elevators and provided clear instructions on where to go. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but this interaction stood out as one of the best customer service experiences I have ever received.nnThe admissions process itself was seamless. After only a few minutes of paperwork, I was taken to the admissions lounge and waited approximately 15 minutes before being called through. Despite the tight timing as surgery preparations began, everything was conducted thoroughly and professionally, and I felt completely comfortable and well-prepared prior to surgery.nnFollowing surgery, there was a slight delay in transferring me from recovery to my allocated ward due to room availability. While this was not ideal, it was handled exceptionally well by the recovery nurses, who provided attentive and compassionate care during what is understandably a vulnerable time post-anaesthetic. This minor delay did not detract from the overall experience.nnOnce on the ward, every interaction I had with staff was outstanding. I would like to sincerely thank Lucy, Bek, Hayley, Jo, Yin, Anita, Lina, Robbie, and Cass for their professionalism, kindness, and the genuine care they showed throughout my stay. Each nurse took the time to ensure I was comfortable while also working efficiently, and the friendly conversations made the experience even more positive.nnI have seen reviews mentioning nurse wait times, and while there can occasionally be short waits, every time a nurse attended my call they were prompt, attentive, and ensured all my needs were met without feeling rushed.nnOverall, my hospital stay was exceptional, and I am very grateful to every staff member involved in my care. I would confidently rate this experience 5 out of 5, as it truly reflects the standard of care I received.
I recently stayed at Greenslopes Private Hospital in the maternity ward after giving birth. While the medical care itself was acceptable, my experience with the postnatal ward services, especially the food and some service staff, was extremely disappointing.nnThe food provided during my stay was honestly some of the worst hospital food I have ever had. For a private hospital where patients pay significant fees, the quality and taste were far below expectations. After giving birth, nutrition is incredibly important for recovery, yet the meals were unappetizing and poorly prepared.nnEven more concerning was the attitude of some staff responsible for delivering the meals. On one occasion, the staff member spoke in a very mean and dismissive tone, and even slammed the door when leaving the room. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, particularly in a maternity ward where new mothers are physically and emotionally vulnerable.nnA private hospital should provide not only good medical care but also basic respect and supportive service for patients. I hope the hospital seriously reviews the quality of food and the professionalism of staff interacting with patients in the maternity ward.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Rajan Prashar Cardiologist at Greenslopes Private Hospital.nnFrom the moment of my angiogram through medication management and every stage of my treatment, Dr Prashar showed exceptional professionalism, skill, and genuine care. He explained everything clearly, reassured me throughout the process, and made what could have been a very stressful experience feel safe and well-managed.nnHis cardiac care team was equally wonderful — attentive, kind, and highly organised. Together they created an environment where I felt supported, respected, and confident in my treatment.nnPlease pass on my heartfelt thanks to Dr Prashar and the entire cardiac team for their outstanding care and dedication. I am truly grateful. God Bless Dr RajannnRN TANDON
