We truly can’t thank the doctors and nursing staff enough for how supportive, positive, and reassuring they were throughout our baby’s hospital journey. From the very beginning, you treated our little one with genuine care and compassion, and you also looked after us as parents in a way that made a huge difference when we felt completely run down.nnThe patience and kindness shown by every staff member helped make a difficult time feel more manageable. You explained things clearly, answered our questions, and continued to encourage us with a calm, positive attitude even when things were stressful. We always felt respected, supported, and not alone, and that meant more than we can put into words.nnThank you for the effort, professionalism, and heart you brought to our baby’s care. We’re forever grateful for the way you made the experience feel less overwhelming and more hopeful.
Our experience with Queensland Children’s Hospital has been nothing short of incredible.nnOver the past 1.5 years, we’ve found ourselves visiting almost every level of the hospital—and in that time, it has become so much more than just a medical facility to us. It’s a place filled with care, compassion, and people who truly make a difference.nnYes, outpatient appointments can sometimes have long wait times—but honestly, that just reflects how many children rely on this hospital every single day. And seeing the level of care each child receives, you understand why. No one is rushed. Every child matters.nnOur absolute favourite spot is Level 6—the kids’ play zone is such a bright, joyful escape from what can otherwise be a really tough time. It gives children a chance to just be kids again. Add in the café and the beautiful outdoor playground, and it creates a space where families can breathe, reset, and find moments of normality.nnBut what truly sets this hospital apart is the nursing staff. The care they provide goes far beyond their roles—they become like family. They remember names, comfort you on the hard days, celebrate the wins, and genuinely walk beside you through every step of the journey.nnA special shoutout to the incredible girls on 11B—thank you for being our family. Your kindness, patience, and constant support mean more than words can ever say.nnWe still have a long road ahead, but knowing we are supported by such an incredible team makes all the difference. We are so grateful to be in the hands of Queensland Children’s Hospital.
My daughter had eye surgery yesterday, and as the only parent with her throughout the day, I was incredibly grateful for the care and support we received.nnFrom the moment we arrived, every doctor, nurse, volunteer, and staff member treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They took the time to explain everything clearly, reassured both my daughter and me, and made what could have been a very stressful experience feel much more manageable.nnThe care my daughter received was outstanding, and I felt supported every step of the way. The warmth, patience, and dedication shown by everyone we met will stay with us for a long time.nnThank you to the entire team for the amazing work you do. We are truly grateful.
When you are placed into another universe, one where your child has cancer and you are living away from home for months. The Queensland childrens hospital brisbane is where you want your child to be treated. The most amazing staff, from the doctors, nurses, surgeons, support staff, reception staff, cleaners, volunteers, absolutely everyone that helps the hospital run have one thing in common, they care. Your child will be given access to the best possible care and will feel safe and cared for. Being a parent of a long term patient I can truly say that I have my child in the safest place and he feels valued and has no fear, only hope for his future and returning home to family and friends soon.
I’m truly grateful to the team at *Queensland Children’s Hospital* for the exceptional care my granddaughter, *Ayesha*, has been receiving under the skin specialist team. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for her wellbeing.nnThe doctors are knowledgeable and attentive, taking the time to explain everything clearly and involving us in every step of Ayesha's treatment. The nurses and support staff have also been incredibly compassionate, creating a calm and supportive environment that makes a big difference for both the child and the family.nnThe hospital facilities are clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed with children in mind. It’s comforting to know that Ayesha is in such capable hands.nnWe’re still on our treatment journey, but I couldn’t be more thankful for the excellent care she is receiving. Queensland Children’s Hospital truly lives up to its reputation.
