Spotlight Burleigh Heads is one of those stores you can walk into for “one thing” and end up happily wandering the aisles for an hour. The store is well laid out, bright, and easy to navigate, which makes a big difference when you’re chasing fabric, craft supplies or home essentials. The range here is impressive — everything from sewing notions and yarn to curtains, cushions, party supplies and seasonal décor.nnWhat really stands out is how well stocked the shelves usually are. Even during busy periods, it feels like they’ve thought ahead with popular items and colours. The fabric section in particular is excellent, with a wide variety of materials and patterns that suit both beginners and experienced makers.nnStaff have always been friendly and approachable whenever I’ve needed help. They’re happy to point you in the right direction or offer advice without hovering, which makes the experience relaxed rather than rushed. Checkout is generally smooth, even when the store is busy.nnIt’s also great to see regular sales and specials, making it affordable to take on bigger projects or try something new. Overall, Spotlight Burleigh Heads is a reliable, well-run store and a go-to spot for anyone into sewing, crafting, decorating or DIY projects.
A big shout out to Jaydon at West Burleigh Spotlight in furnishings Dept. I needed a set of curtains kept for me that were avaialble only in West Burleigh and he went out of his way to firstly check that they were in store and then went to the trouble of putting them in reserve for me behind the furnishing counter until tomorrow. His phone manner was impeccable and he came across as warm and helpful. Thank you Jaydon, for exceptionally good service and your kind and helpful manner.
The team are lovely but having Click and Collect at the back of the store in the ‘sew centre’ which is not marked with any signage as the ‘sew centre’ is terrible.nYou have to line up behind people having fabric cut and requiring very specific advice from the staff. There’s only one team member here if any and it would have been MUCH quicker for me to find the item in store and pay at the front counter than to bother with Click and Collect. Once you are served, the staff member has to leave and go somewhere else to find your order and you are left there waiting even longer. Terrible service for Click and Collect.
Terrible customer service… I was told to put a click and collect order in and come back because no one could help me find what I was after. I also overheard a staff member rudely telling another lady they can’t find her order cause there is a lot of thieving happening in the store and when asked if she could ring another store to see if they had it she said she couldn’t because she has a line of people waiting….
My word this Spotlight is filled to the brim with anything and everything one may need to create!nI was pleasantly surprised by the huge array of sewing patterns available, and was even more surprised to see they had patterns for Victorian gowns and other eras in history!nThe array of different fabrics available too was good, and at great prices.nIt was interesting to see dresses sewn already on the dress models in store, and imagine what the fabric would look like as a dress, or in that style. This is very helpful!
