Astonishingly awful customer service. Initially ordered click and collect 10 man tent was given an 8 man tent instead. No way to contact store or head office. Had to travel 2hrs to speak with anyone. No acknowledgement of mistake at all. Tent was exchanged however correct tent had two holes in it. Again unable toncontact store and another 2hr tripnto get it sorted.
Extremely poor customer service.nUpon purchase of Archie thongs, I was asked “cash or card?” To which I replied cash. I was told but I’ve got no cash drawer. I said I could pay card if that was easier.nNo response.nThe male checkout attendant moved to the next pos and yelled out “forty bucks”nI paid him.n“Wanna receipt?”nYes please, thank you.nI was motioned to tear off my receipt.nI wished him merry Christmas.nNo acknowledgement.nHe was talking to other staff the whole time during the transaction.nI understand it’s a super busy time of the year, and that this may seem very petty, but that doesn’t excuse poor customer service and extreme rudeness.nI mentioned it to another staff member upon leaving the store. She just gave me the thumbs up sign and turned away.nTime to lift your customer service training Acaconda. Afterall, your business needs customers.
Shout out to Dave — absolute legend!nHe went above and beyond helping my partner and me find the right gear for our solar setup. We’d always struggled with flat batteries on camp trips, and Dave broke everything down clearly, gave us solid advice, and helped us understand exactly what we were doing wrong. Thanks to him, we’re finally confident in our setup. Can’t recommend him enough!
Terrible experience - bunch of very unprofessional kids who need to be trained on product information and location in stores. Spent anhour and half with three different minors looking for a product that was in stock but no one new where it was, never to be found. Staff were rude and should be trained in general customer service or at least figure out how to talk to people. Place is a joke.
Maybe the worst customer service experience I’ve had? Purchased a Caribee bag for a hiking holiday I had planned. A few days before I was supposed to leave I took it out on a trial hike. Literally first use and one of the internal pockets blew out. Took it back to anaconda the very next day exactly 3 weeks after purchase and was met with a manager who couldn’t care less about my situation and was told to either purchase a new one or told they would have to send it off to Caribee for warranty purposes as it had been longer than a week after purchase. After pushing back against this he ended up taking a photo to send off to caribee so that I would still have a bag for my holiday... It’s nearly been two weeks now and I’ve heard nothing back…. Aside from that though, In what world is a bag breaking on first use not covered by warranty? What do they think I was doing? Carrying tungsten cubes on a hike? All I wanted was a straight swap for the exact same bag, but now I want nothing to do with anaconda…
