Everything is perfect except the noise from upstairs.nI’m living in ground floor.nMy upstairs walk frequently and talk loudly every time. TBH, it couldn’t let me sleep well.nIt just like we live with the elephants.nEvery step must cause the huge sound bothered me.
Worst place I’ve ever stayed at. Entered our room and there was a bucket catching water from a heavy leak in the bedroom. We got offered 2 cans of coke as an apology?? They obviously knew the leak was there but didn’t bother to say anything until we confronted them about it.nVery money hungry and have no care for the people staying with themnVery rude staff to all of my family. Will never stay here again.
Really disheartened and disappointed with Southern Comfort Motel. After being a loyal customer and staying here many many times I have been really let down. Always book my accommodation months in advance so I don’t miss out, payment was due on Feb 21st 2025 and they attempted to take it on Sept 16 2024. Due to my card obviously not having enough for the booking they have cancelled my room and not at all attempted to recover it with me, they just don’t care. My friend who booked for the same dates had the money taken and then the room cancelled due to a RATE change, communication was really needed here and this is where they failed. If you want more money don’t allow bookings so far in advance when they’re cheaper.
WARNING Take photographic evidence of damages. They will try sabotage the room in your absencennRecently stayed in the upstairs room beside the road. Owners kept the $100 bond and blamed a previous damage on me. Pretty ironic considering I’m a plumber and it’s my job to provide people with an excellent service.nnThere are multiple damages throughout the room:n• Windows don’t close or open properly and do not seal shutn• Broken window latchesn• Dirty kitchen utensils and whitewaren• Dirty mirrors and windowsn• Unclean under bedn• Skirting is swollen from a previous floodn• Long dent in kitchen sink top which I got blamed forn• Loose towel rail - feels like it’ll breakn• Crack in glass stove topn• Sticky tabs on vanity door handlesn• Carpet de threading in placesn• Scuff marks on wallsnnMotel wasn’t busy when I stayed, I have a feeling they wanted the $100 because they sold the 2 nights at a cheaper rate than normally advertised.nI have work colleagues who have stayed here and now I know why they don’t stay here anymore.nWill be spreading the word
The man who checked me in was incredibly rude. I was charged a damage deposit of $100 which I was unaware of. If I had if known I would not have booked this motel. They can hold your deposit for up to 3 days! I was lucky and booked a nice upstairs room, apparently the other side of the complex is very average. It is a noisy location, the shower isn't that clean. But honestly...that staff member alone would make me never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Sadly they get enough bookings to not have to give good customer service.
