Good location with tram stop right in front of the place. Near to city. Have a gym for keep fit while enjoy yummy food during holiday. Free Local newspaper at the reception area. Have washing machine, dryer, dish washer, fridge, freezer, utensils in the room. Reasonable price and spacious but the following need improvement: (1) Room cleanliness. Refill items seems to depend on the staff mood on that day. (2) To clean the Air conditioning. (3) To solve key card failure. In general, if items 1 to 3 have improved, I'll stay here again when I visit Melbourne.

Great place to stay when visiting Melbourne. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are very nice and easy to deal with. The rooms represent great value for money. Give them a try. You wont be disappointed.

This was the second time we have stayed here. Convenient and price is right. Pleasant room with all mod cons. Washing machine, dryer, kitchenette with dishwasher, modern bathroom. And all very clean. The only complaint was the mattress wasn't as comfy as the first time. Maybe we should have tried the 2nd bed out. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Will stay here again.

Not great. The foyer is lovely and heritage-y, but as soon as you get to your room (unless you have one of the very few rooms in the heritage section), you're in for a rude shock. There is a massive concrete tower behind the heritage reception area (which as I said above, has a few heritage guest rooms included) where most of the guests stay. My room had burn marks on the dining table, the walls needed a paint job, the half-flush in the toilet didn't work, and most importantly, THE TV WAS TINY and wouldn't start on two occasions (blue screen of death). There was some weird old-fashioned method used to hook the TV up, and IT DID NOT LIKE BEING TOUCHED. So yeah, had to call reception twice to get them to fix it. Oh, and there was no couch, just two armchairs. So much for stretching out while trying to watch the Aus Open. Oh, and they screwed up my key card too, it didn't work on the second night and I had to go back to reception and wait for ages for them to fix it. Needs a renovation, and don't be fooled by the false "Heritage" advertising.

An absolutely trash experience. We just booked this place for 1 night for our first year anniversary night. Our key pass failed twice, our TV did not work, to which I informed reception and they got it working, only for it to stuff up and not work again. I only booked here because of the Qantas points and the great display pictures, I'm one person to let things slide but thanks for ruining my stay.
