The hotel is located in a location close to the city centre and a short walk (approx 10 minutes) from the esplanade. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. Food was good quality and had a wide range of options available. Rooms were neat tidy and clean however a little dated.

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at for the price they charge. A total misrepresentation from their online marketing. Room is dirty, carport is so disgustingly stained, furniture is falling apart, bathroom is old old old, stained mirror, cracked toilet, in room dining (which is meant to be 6pm to 10pm) wasn't available at 8pm (chief had gone home), room wasn't made up so was then offered (a) clean towel, on the list goes on. The chain that owns this hotel should be ashamed of this product they so glow-fully promote, they say a 3 star, be lucky to scrape in with a 1 star. I feel sorry for the poor staff that need to deal with the unhappy customers that have stayed here. Read other reviews to confirm what I'm saying.

Location is great, nice and close to the esplanade, also choose to restaurants and shops. Rooms don't feel like a 4 star place though.... Breakfast is ok... The rings just seen to be getting a bit old. Pool facility is nice.

The good: It was well sited in Cairns. The room was comfortable and the service was generally good. The not so good: I was dismayed to find in a 4 star hotel that its restaurant was not open for lunch or dinner on Mondays and Tuesdays ( the 2 nights I was there). I was also disappointed that, for a 4 star hotel it did not provide complimentary water in my room. I also thought the 2 lifts were inadequate for a 10 storey hotel; they were pretty antiquated in appearance; and they were dreadfully slow

I travel a lot for business all over the world and this hotel is like a third world country 3 star hotel. Actually I’ve stayed in better third world country hotels with lesser rating than this hotel that are better. The lobby is about the cleanest place in the hotel and that’s it. Rooms smell of visible mould and well out dated furniture. Avoid at all costs!!!
