Amazing day out at Milford Sound on the coach and cruise day trip. Our bus driver was Pumba; he was super friendly and a great guide.
If friends and family visit me in New Zealand this tour is the one "must do" experience I recommend to them. This was my third time on a doubtful sound cruise and every time was different and special. The two night cruise was my favorite so far. We where incredibly lucky with the weather and got to experience all the different faces Fiordland has to offer. Special thanks to the Fiordland Navigator crew! These people make the experience truly magical. Courtney was our nature guide and she was super knowledgable. I truly enjoyed her presentations in the evening and would highly recommend them to any future passenger. I also need everyone to know how good the food was! The three course menu in the evening is one of the many highlights of the tour. I also loved how RealNZ teamed up with Ashley&Co to provide luxurious soaps, body washes and hand sanitizer all over the boat. Made the hot shower after the kayaking and the dip in the icy fjord waters extra special and relaxing. I will be back for sure!!
Lovely team and really enjoyable experience! A special thank you to the gentleman who drove the coach bus! I booked my parents for coach+cruise trip to Milford Sound. They keep telling me how good the experience is and how helpful and nice the staff is. The bus is comfortable as well.it is a long day trip. I would recommended to anyone who want to visit Milford sound from Queenstown!
I want to thank Hudson, the driver for the coach-cruise to Milford sounds. It was such an enjoyable ride and he is genuinely passionate about what he does and it shows. He was so good I would've been satisfied with just having him take us about and commentate. Both coach and ferry felt a touch more luxe than your average tour company. The coach had a glass roof, ferry felt more like a boutique ship, it was so beautifully designed Coaches were comfortable with plenty of stops The cruise itself was also so comfortable and fun, the food was also very much restaurant quality. Overall A++, very impressed by RealNZ
Went on two tours with these guys, both tours were brilliant, the 1st was the Milford sound coach and cruise, a long drive to get to Milford but it was an amazing drive, unfortunately, I can't remember the drivers name I think it was Craig, travelled on 11/11/2022 his passion and knowledge was awesome. The cruise was brilliant, very good commentary and a good choice of food and drink options. A long day, but we'll worth it. The 2nd was the jet-boat tour, advise the 1 hour trip, you see so much more, very well looked after and very informative. The 360 degree turns are an awesome adrenaline rush. If your in Queenstown, don't bother with any other operator, head straight to RealNZ. 5 stars .
We had a great trip to Milford Sound. Our bus driver Jill was amazing! She knew a lot about the places we've visited along the way. Great option for a day trip.
Love love loved our trip on the Milford Wanderer Overnight Cruise. When people ask how we liked New Zealand, I always start with the Milford Sound. I think the overnight aspect was worth it by itself because you get more of a full day in the sound that with the day tours. The bus ride to the Sound wasn't too bad, great time to catch up on some jet lag sleep. Beautiful stops along the way. Upon arriving we were able to hop on a dinghy and caught the sunset from the water. Absolutely beautiful, and accompanied with an informational overview from our guide. Dinner was at shared tables with other couples, so you're able to chat and make some friends. Waking up in the Sound was so peaceful and surreal. Have your camera batteries charged, because every second is picture-worthy. My husband surprised me with a return flight to Queenstown with Real Journeys and it was SO worth it. Incredible views that you can't get anywhere else. Would recommend to anybody!
Very good value for money and a great experience. I went on a cruise to Milford Sound and also took the cruise to Walter Peak farm. Both were fantastic. Driver of the coach was very friendly and kept us amused by giving information all along the drive to Milford Sound. The cruise itself was out of this world experience. The TSS Earlshaw cruise to Walter Peak farm is a must for any family travelling with young kids.
My overall impression of Real Journeys was of a highly polished, very professional operation where they do their absolute best to ensure everyone has a good time and sees some of New Zealand's amazing nature. I went on the overnight cruise to Doubtful Sound and it was definitely a highlight of my time in NZ. Our guide on the ship was fantastic; she was clearly extremely passionate about the flora and fauna of the region and her talks throughout the trip added a lot of value. All of the staff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. I stayed in quad share and found it pretty comfortable. The food was pretty nice as well, and nothing beats that scenery with your morning coffee. It really was great.
We enjoyed two of their great tours. Take the trip for lunch or dinner on the TSS Earnslaw to Walter Peak High Country Farm. Enjoy an outstanding dinner. Then return on the Earnslaw to Queenstown. We enjoyed the overnight trip to Doubtful Sound. Quite and excursion. Real Journeys is an A+ tour provider with A+ people and equipment.
