If it is adventure you’re looking for I would advise AGAINST this tour. Although the website advertises it caters for beginners through to experts, what it should say is it’s designed for people who have never seen a quad bike before or know what one is. It consisted of meandering along a wide gravel path between 20-30km p/h in compulsory full riding gear, (very hot if sun is out) with regular stops. The guides we had (Lewis and Jamie) were friendly and the views from the top were pretty good however we feel we didn’t get anything like what was advertised.

The quad biking tour was the best activity I've done in Queenstown! The track goes around the mountains, with great views of Queenstown (make sure you don't make any mistake during the ride, or you'll find yourself at the bottom of the mountain few hundreds meter down). Our guide and instructors Jamie and Laura were very friendly and knowledgable. Note that the duration of the tour is a bit misleading, the tour itself is around 1.5 hours, training + transport to and from Queenstown takes another 1.5 hours.

I did this with a group tour. The staff was nice. However, it was basically only driving, saw about three places that actually showed places of The Lord of the Rings shooting, 2 of which we were told we cannot stop or get out here to look and see the places and get pictures. The other places we stopped weren’t related to the movie. It was nice scenic places but I took the trip to see the filming places of the LotR not just scenes of other places with oh here let me point to where a scene took places while we drive past it... I’m quite disappointed in it. To me it fails to deliver.

They were on time with picking my partner and I up from our hotel. The workers were definitely friendly and knowledgeable. The briefing was not long at all which was good nice & straight to the point. Our guide was insightful & took us to all the beautiful view points. The treats at the top was exactly what you need to take in the nice views. Would definitely recommend this company.

I traveled to Queenstown in January 2017 and my hotel had suggested I try the Nomad Safaris tour. I was 5 months pregnant at the time, and my hotel assured me that I'd be fine on this tour and that it was quite relaxing. Once on the tour I realized it was too bumpy and fast for me, but I did not want to ruin it for others so I did not complain. Once the driver told us that we were heading back towards town because of the weather, I then asked if on the way he'd drop me off because I just didn't feel well. He agreed, and the tour continued after my drop off. I complain only because when I contacted Nomad Safaris to ask if a refund was possible because this tour was challenging for me while being pregnant and all, I received an email response from someone named David that actually left me in tears. Had he told me that I should contact my hotel because they are the ones who falsely advertised this excursion I would've respected their policy and worked directly with the hotel. But his email was so nasty I could never imagine responding to a customer the way he did. His final lines of the email (as shown below) were completely unnecessary and terribly hurtful. Thank you for the terrible customer service David, and Nomad Safaris. Feel free to keep the $370 you took from us as you clearly need it more than we do. Had I known this company was so rude I would have never even considered your excursion. "Your threats of reprisal are not welcome and quite unnecessary given that your complaint carries zero credibility. Should you wish to continue with your argument I suggest you take it up with the New Zealand Minister in charge of our roads, as surely your angst is about the state of the New Zealand legal roads and not with this, very esteemed, tour operator. Let me know when you have something of a point that actually concerns Nomad Safaris. Currently nothing within your argument has any relevance to this company's activities and it is with great pleasure I can decline your request for a refund based upon your submitted arguments." ~ David, Nomad Safaris
