Mitcham is located 20 minutes east of the CBD. Residents love the area’s tree-lined streets, open spaces and numerous bushland reserves, along with its stunning period homes and warm community spirit.

The heart of Mitcham includes some homes dating from the 19th century, but most homes were built in the 1950's and 1960s. There are also significant pockets of recent redevelopment. Capital growth has been well above the Melbourne average that past few years.

Mitcham benefits from two railway stations, namely Mitcham and Heatherdale. The area is also well serviced by an extensive bus network. A wide range of major shopping centres is easy to access - Forest Hill Chase, Eastland, The Glen, Knox City and Doncaster Shoppingtown. Mitcham Shopping Centre (just north of Mitcham station) is home to The Mitcham Hotel, Coles, specialty shops, cafes, and of course, Ray White. There are also fantastic local shopping strips such as Rangeview on Mitcham Road (with the best bakery in town).

There are a number of well regarded government and Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools and many of Melbourne's leading Private Schools in the eastern suburbs are easily accessed by public transport.

The Eastern Freeway offers excellent toll free access to the CBD and a range of inner eastern and northern suburbs and now also the southern suburbs / peninsula via Eastlink.
