Possibly the most outrageous treatment I’ve had by any realestate ever. Me and my partner had applied for a property we weren’t in Australia at the time but then had a friend inspect the property whilst we were away, nothing seemed out of the ordinary, we then received an email stating the property we had applied for had already been leased but the one next door is available and is exactly the same. Unfortunately we couldn’t inspect this property at the time but when we came back to Australia to sign the paperwork and collect the keys we arrived to the property to realise what a horrible mistake we had made. The entire house stank of cat urine and cigarettes. The back yard looked like it was straight out of jumanji. We called the property manager and they said they would fix all of this 2 months later with pissy carpets and mouldy floors nothing has been done.. I probably have legionnaires disease. Not to mention my partner is pregnant. And they seem to have an inability to answer phones in their office.

I have been a tenant under Rose Real Estate since the end of 2007 and have always found them to be professional, friendly and prompt. While I believe the owners of my set of flats are not particularly interested in maintenance or other similar things, when I've had a problem (i.e. the air-conditioner causing the fuse switch to turn off) they've responded very promptly without issue.

The information given on moving in is above standard for a real estate agency - it includes who to call for emergency repairs - and they're happy to accept my fortnightly rental payments via BPay even though it means my rent is often ahead by some random amount (I know that sounds obviously a good thing for them, but not all agents are so accommodating). 

I've not had a single complaint with them in 5 years, and I believe this will continue.

We were renting through Rose Real Estate earlier this year and had an open for inspection forced on us with all our furnishings and private items on show even though we had declined their request to do this.
