Stopped for lunch. Delicious garlic scallops and panko crumb chicken breast with coleslaw and chips. Craft beer . Fantastic place to stop. Highly recommend. Very relaxed atmosphere. Friendly and clean. Great service. Open fireplaces burning add to the warmth of the inside. Wonderful. Hats off to the owners.
Nice menu with lovely people running the pub. Fun having a pub in the middle of a paddock. Very scenic area. You can eat outside if you want to enjoy the scenery or eat inside and enjoy the interesting decor.
We arrived there around 1pm for lunch. The staff were super friendly, the beer cold and the meals great. We had a yack to the new owner 11 months and she was pretty excited about what they own , and it shows with the atmosphere of the cute little pub. Vegetarian options: There were a couple of Vego options which pleased us , as we are both Vegos Parking: Heaps.
A great place to stop after doing the falls which are about 15 minutes from the pub. An absolute gem of a place that serves great food in a warm, inviting atmosphere with views of beautiful green fields.Food: 5/5
What an amazing little place. Free camping in the Paddock next to the pub surrounded by luscious paddocks, dairy cows, birdlife. Owners very friendly and hospitable. Delicious meal of Garluc Prawns and Tasmania Scallops roe on! Short drive to the spectacular falls and rainforest walk.
Genuine country friendliness, great food, cold beer, clean and comfy rooms with lovely views. Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of nights at this traditional pub, highly recommended.
Went for lunch Thursday this week. Great atmosphere and grounds with Pig. Ordered Chicken Katsu burger, was imagining korean spicy snitzel with sauce on burger, was disappointed when a normal chicken burger arrived with a frozen pre-formed patty and salad, burger was ok but at $26 very overpriced.
Wonderful Heritage site. Very Full at the time we went. A long wait for food but it was yummy and hot. Worth the stop after seeng St Columbus Falls. Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids running around and looking at Pricilla the Pig. Parking: Lots of room to park, cars and caravans.
Charming, old, amazing views and a lot of character. My family and I had a great time having a couple of schooners, sitting outside and taking in the view as well as admiring the character of the inside of the pub.
A pretty neat spot for a beer, but a pint and small lemonade came to $20. The food was also expensive and no good unfortunately.
