Good meal, kids play area, large dining area with different views over the water. Great views, local brews. Nice restaurant pleasant staff. Waited about 30 mins for lunch. Nice special steak.. tacos were yummy Caravan camping out the front Kid-friendliness: Kids play area
5 star all the way, we have been on the east coast for 12 months and have eaten in many different locations and this is far the best. I had the vegetarian stack and hubby had the salt and pepper squid was tender and lots of flavour, ever mouthful was OMG. Ate there 6 months before that and every time just beautiful much needed on the upper east coast as the choices are limited for quality. Vegetarian options: Great Parking: Easy parking for large vehicles Kid-friendliness: Indoor playground
Not worth going if no booking as treated like second class citizen. Told long wait for food which we were ok with and then when we went to order they advised they were not taking orders for 20-25mins as reserved tables took priority. When we returned to bar to order we were told the same again so we left as were hungry and no idea when anyone would take our order. Disappointing
I was there with my partner a few days ago visiting from Melbourne – fortunate to be staying only 5 mins drive away. Food was fantastic, especially the pork belly. Had an incredible Jaffa cocktail. Staff were really lovely and attentive. Shame we missed the tasting but glad we got there!
Very kind staff with great view and plenty of light. The food is nice, based on local products, including the brewery beer and the lambs grazing all around. Their Pale Ale deserves the stop. Service could be a bit faster though.
Below average. Long wait for food and there was only 3 other tables dining. Our entree was taken to the wrong table, leaving us with our mains only. Wait staff was very apologetic and comped the beer for the hassle. Food we ordered was average. Lovely views
The service was terrible. It was about the same as your local pub, except there was this facade of table service. So when this was lacking, you didn’t have the convenience of standing in line behind 20 other people to get served by a single but attentive wait staff. Instead the bar staff remind you its table service, so you resume your seat and try track down waiters who respond with grumpy looks. And of course you only get one drink with dinner, if you want more you need to go to the bar. See above for what happens then. Takeaway drinks, the bar staff at a brewery weren’t sure whether their own beer was a lager or an ale. I wasn’t after detailed information, like whether it was stronger in hops or malt, but just whether it was an ale or not. Had to google that one. Then staff started a side conversation during service and failed to describe the price of their product. As stated about as good as a country pub, except twice the price and no smile. Good kids playground and good food and good view.
We arrived an hour before closing 7:30pm and were refused service when there were tables available outside for seating. Knowing that this area of Tasmania is remote with few options, it is ridiculous that they would turn people away. This saves us a trip back on the way out and hopefully others that are curious on how this establishment treats potential patrons. Shame on you.
The food here is truly a hidden gem on the East Coast. Sublime would be an understatement. And the beer and brandy is also a bonus..... Crafted on site, this place has it all
Bad, I don’t like it took about 40 minutes to get my food and the staff aren’t nice at all
