Mowbray Hotel

The thing that stuck me most was that all the staff were very helpful and happy. The meals are typical pub counter meal standard (if you want medium rare steak ask for rare). Deserts and cakes are quite exceptional though. Clean and tidy dining area. Later we went to the bar, once again a bubbly bar attendant. Plenty of parking. Level, easy access. The prices were reasonable too.

While utilising every option to produce a good return for its owners The Mowbray Hotel is easy to find. The room while being very basic is serviced clean and nicely presented. Being on the 2nd floor the additional common amenities still await renovation. It also has a Bistro where good meals are served fresh and hot with daily specials at very reasonable rates. A gaming room, bar, bistro and accommodation make this good value being close to the city. It comes with no frills but good rates.

Had two lovely dinners and one lunch that wasn't up to the same standard. But we'll priced so will try again. Totally recommend The BBQ pork ribs.

Clean facilities. Our bed was comfortable and we enjoyed a breakfast pack and cuppa tea facilities. Reasonable priced meals and good service all round.

My brother went to the gambling room to play a game leaving me to happily wait in the seating area. The staff were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere in there.
