My husband and I had a lovely experience at Prahran Train Station over the past two days. The staff member who assisted us was extremely patient, gentle, and understanding. Since we are new to the city, she carefully explained each step and helped us purchase and top up our Myki cards without any confusion.nnShe also provided us with simple and clear directions as we were travelling to the countryside, which made our journey much easier. Her warm smile and kind attitude made us feel welcomed and at ease. We sincerely appreciate her support and kindness.
We had a wonderful experience at Prahran Train Station today and yesterday2026 March 3 and 4. The staff member who helped us was incredibly calm, kind, and patient. As we were new to the city, she guided us step by step to buy and top up our Myki card in such a clear and beautiful way and she gave us the further information on where to get off. Her friendly smile and warm nature made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Truly grateful for her help!
A relatively decent station, it's close to the nearby shopping precinct and trams, not too difficult to walk to, more bike storage could be an improvement.
FAIRLY NONDESCRIPT STATION ON THE SANDRINGHAM LINEnNot far from the city and is a good getting off point for the Prahran Market.nTwo platforms platform 1 goes to the city, platform 2 to Sandringham. You need to exit the station and cross the road to swap platforms. A gently sloping ramp to access platform 1, entry to Platform 2 is level but there is a lot of road construction going on right next to the station so may be some issues with wheelchairs.nDeparture platform for Sandringham line at Flinders Street Station is often from platform 13 which isn't easy to find for first time users and is also a long distance from the main concourse.
It's a train station. Sadly the toilets are not in use.
