We were referred to Silver Top by another local reputable taxi agency (as no one else had a taxi van for 5 people in our area) who said that Silver Top would provide transport from Riddell's Creek to a family wedding in Mt Macedon. Booked ST through their online booking system at approx 11.30am for pick up at approx 2.45pm. This booking system allowed us to book our pick up and drop off location without issue, and we were sent email confirmation. 20 minutes prior to our pick up we received a phone call from ST saying they do not provide transport within these areas. Why does your online booking system allow booking of locations outside of your service-providing areas? Why did we only get notified of this 20 minutes prior to pick up when we had booked a couple of hours in advance? Really disappointed with this service.

Where is the 0? Anyway this company is so bad ... Didn't care that they left a disabled woman without transport for 75 minutes on a 31c day. Called and spoke with a supervisor who repeated over and over that it happens. I asked what he was going to do to help and he simply repeated there isn't anything he can do - it is what it is. Meanwhile unoccupied taxis everywhere looking for a longer fare. Not first occurrence either. Last occurrence on 40+ day for almost 2 hours - taxis would ask "are you x?" To people on the street who would say yes and take the cab. Disgusting and no proper way of identifying correct passenger. Avoid at all costs.

So the man in questions (Driver M3491) decided that he would not take me after i told him my destination (Melbourne CBD to Port Melbourne). Me: "hi there can i get into your cab?" Him: "umm where are you going?" Me:" Port Melbourne Please" Him: "No." ME: "you're not allowed to do that so i'm going to report you." (Drives away slowly as there was traffic, as i take picture of his car)

Got a cab from Melbourne airport. Driver tells me he's Pakistani Muslim. Makes no difference to me, except that in conversation about things happening here in Melbourne, he tells me that all crimes here are committed by Africans. Seriously? I called him out on his racist remark, reminding him that he might also be victim to racist remarks from time to time and therefore should know better, but he tells me he's not racist. Says he's just stating facts. Really now? Spoke perfect English, so there's no misunderstanding. Final taxi ride for me. UBER all the way from hereon.

Appalling service, I had pre booked a maxi taxi to take an elderly wheel chair bound woman to her nursing home. An hour after it was meant to come I started calling to see what was happening, I was told don’t other booking a cab, they don’t put it in the system until ten minutes before it is supposed to come, they had used all the maxi cabs for more profitable bookings so the elderly woman would have to wait, three hours later they rang to ask if I still wanted a taxi, none were available then either. I got her an Uber, they were quick and gave great service.
