One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. We were welcomed by the owner with fresh glasses of iced tea, and he and the entire staff were terrific. They gave great recommendations for local food and activities, helped us book a number of things, and we're generally quite fun to chat with. The facilities are in great shape and there's easy access to both the beach and the town, plus a few guest bicycles available for people who want to be more active. In addition, the restaurant serves some of the best food in town. If I'm ever in Port Douglas I will definitely be coming back!

Stayed at this hotel early December for our honeymoon, and what a lovely time we had! This little hotel offers very nice, clean and spacious rooms with terraces facing the beach and wonderful sunrise, a relaxing swimming pool area, and all amenities that are needed. The breakfast, taken near the swimming pool, was delicious and very generous. We also highly recommend the restaurant facing the beach: very nice and generous food, the fish was cooked perfectly and the salads were inventive and fresh. It is also possible to stay for a drink. Last but not least, we cannot praise the team enough: both the owners and the staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly and extremely helpful (particularly when I went through the drama of losing my mobile phone, which they found!). Thank you for the lovely stay.

We stayed at the Peninsula Boutique Hotel for three nights while on our honeymoon. We were able to check in early and Kylie enthusiastically showed us around the hotel to ensure we knew what was available to us and where things were located. The staff including Kylie and Gavin were extremely attentive and kind. The breakfast was also phenomenal. The room was spacious and included everything we needed to relax for a few nights in Port Douglas. Getting into the heart of town is easily walkable and they offer complimentary sunscreen to their guests to protect exposed skin in the strong Aussie sun. Would recommend this hotel to anybody not traveling with children looking for a quiet and luxurious getaway to Port Douglas (hotel is 21+).

Excellent hotel in a brilliant location. Very friendly staff who are happy to help, comfortable rooms which are just a short stroll from the beach. Great food at the restaurant and the buffet breakfasts were a delicious way to start the day. Definitely worth staying here for a few kid-free nights.

We just got back from a one month tour of New Zealand and Australia. The first week in December we spent four nights at this lovely boutique hotel. The owners, Kylie and Gavin were like old friends, warm, welcoming and gracious. The hotel was perfect for us, laid back, yet it had every amenity. We had a lovely room with a small kitchen and veranda overlooking the ocean. The food was so good the first night, we dined there the next three nights. The staff was friendly and attentive. It was delightful.
