Story

We are a long established, friendly caravan park, we offer self-contained units, powered sites and campsites. We have a camp kitchen with lots of cooking facilities, pool, laundry facilities and are pet friendly (conditions apply, please contact us to discuss). Resident managers and tour booking services available too.

Not overly impressed with this CP, and we have stayed in 100s over the past 3-years. Location is fantastic, with the Port Douglas main swimming beach at your doorstep and the main street of town a 5-minute walk away. But then it goes downhill from there. Most sites were small and really only suitable for an RV, and they certainly packed in side by side. The grounds were clean and tidy, but the bathrooms need to be gutted and rebuilt. i would rate them at 3/10 - missing tiles, mould, peeling paint, cracked sinks, and what irked me in particular was that they were only given a 'backpacker clean only'. Floors, toilets and basins only. Nothing to dry your hands on, no bathmats, smelly urinal. At $70pn I would have expected more. Next time we come this way we'll stay at the caravan park a few 100 metres down the road.
We have been staying at the campsite for two nights now and were originally worried as we were booked into the site next to the camp kitchen which had a previous bad review. We have found this spot perfect and have asked to stay in it another night! Close to the amenities and by reversing in still feels nice and private! Camp facilities great and bathrooms clean
Beautiful location close to beach and shopping and restaurants.nWe booked an unpowered site which was located opposite the camp kitchen , very small no room for an awning to go out .nExtremely noisy as the seasonal workers were up till 1.30am playing music and make loud noises very in considerate to park guests . The facilities were clean .
Location is perfect, short walking distance to shops and beach. Owners are very proud of their park. Gave us some useful information on tours in the Daintree area.nFacilities are well maintained and last night it was pizza and movie night.nWould definitely recommend Tropical Breeze.
I stayed at the unpowered tent site during high season for $45, and honestly, I was very disappointed.nMy site was directly in front of the shared kitchen — and it was the only site in that spot.nnEven on a Monday night, people were playing music and drinking until around 10pm. It was incredibly noisy.nFor $45, I expected a better experience. It was so loud that I actually wondered if my site should’ve been priced lower than the others.nnThe showers were fine — no complaints there.nMaybe the powered sites are better, but I wouldn’t recommend the tent site if you’re looking for peace and quiet.nnHowever, if you enjoy socializing and don’t mind the noise, it might be a good fit for you.
