I visited the library and want to have a quiet seat to have some reading. It's surprisingly to find out a group of 5 ladies practicing their singing and dancing in the main area.nI have my ear plugs on but can still hear the singing from the group.nI'm new in this area. I don't know it's a regular interest group or just one off because it's raining outside.nAnother group of six pp in the table playing cards but they didn't make much noise.
Quiet place to complete some paperwork, extremely bust today. Good to see it is being used by different groups during the day.nIn to do paperwork, reasonably busy, got everything done. Parking out side & facilities clean.
The worst local library I have ever experienced.nnI went to library on Sunday to borrow some books for my children and I was told that my library account was blocked by the Panmure library. A warning note was there saying there were some markers on the book and a replace is needed. I dropped off some books at Panmure library a day ago. I was not notified about this and they blocked my account.nnAfter heaps of phone calls to the main library line and the Panmure library, they can open an investigation. The staff who answered the call at Panmure library avoided to take any responsibilities as it was done by another staff who was not there on Sunday. It was frustrating and upsetting the kids couldn't get the book from the library.nnUntil late in the afternoon, someone from Panmure library called and said this was done by another staff member. This is their process to give the warning to the last borrower who returns the books with damages. They tried to call my landline number on Saturday which was the contact number 20 years when I opened my account. My other family member thought it was a scam, then they blocked my library account.nnThis is totally disgusting and unacceptable. Firstly, Dogman is one of the most popular kids books nowadays, the book is in high demand and has been borrowed so many times. How can you prove this was damaged by my kids? We have been telling our kids to take care of the books. The kids always tell us the books borrowed from the library were damaged inside and outside by others. These are the kids books, we don't check them all the time when we get them. Secondly, it was frustrating that you blocked the account without notifying me. You called but didn't get hold of me and blocked it. This is totally unacceptable. My kids were so upset that they couldn't borrow any books on Sunday because the account was blocked. Finally, you need to review this stupid warning rule. This could be handled much better.nnFor me, I am not going to go back to the Panmure library to borrow or return any books in the future. This is impacting the image of the local library.
Clean and neat library that functions as a community centre at the same time. There's people playing ping pong, chinese chess, rummy. Cozy spaces around but not the place to be if you're looking for some quiet.
Great library for crawling baby to play in. Tamariki books and block puzzles are also great. Large space to use computers, slides and play things, toilets and water fountain. There is also a ping pong table for people to connect and keep fit. Usually a security guard and lovely staff. Nice and warm in the cooler weather too.
